Explore the option scheduled tasks , I know in win 7 you can select run as highest priveleges that may work

Update on my problems.....Aol are now doing some checks and it will take 24hrs , had to call them again this morning as kept losing connection , and when iam online it feels like iam on dial up , also seem to manage to get connected to web sites although it takes forever then sometimes iam getting timed out
the major problem iam having at the moment is trying to connect to my online banking , in fact cannot access my bank at all , had to call my bank earlier and told them off the problem and apparently there is no problem with there web site

i have disabled windows defender at the mo it seems a bit easier to conect to pages but still taking forever and a day and still cannot seem to get on my banks web page

OK You were unable to run HJT as Administrator by Shift and Right Clicking on it so I thought try using Scheduled tasks to do it .
So go start button and type in schedule .... should give you Task Scheduler
Then click on Create Task on right side of screen

Type it like mine ... name HJT and click Run on Highest Priveleges
Then click on Action Tab and add new
Select Run a Program and press browse
in This screen i have put the HJT program in there
Now click Ok and go to the Task Scheduler Library on the left
Highlight like this and select Run in the right pane that will ask to UAC to allow you to run this and then will give you HJT as an administrator you can then
continue from page 2 of this post as Rik asked to post the log and we will hopefully back on track

Thanks debitcard......i can see run when i do a shift and right click but not run as......however i click on run and it only takes me to the hijack this option window enabling me to do a scan again.....so i have decided to uninstall it and start again then i will see what happens and use your instructions above ..............its all cracking me up

Hey guys i really need some help here please and as soon as i get this problem sorted iam looking for a new ISP because i have had enough
AOL's customer service is none existant and they are downright rude .

After finally geting through to stage 2 yesterday i was delighted only for it to backfire today
Yesterday stage 2 said they were going to run some tests etc i asked for a referance number as he said that if i didnt hear from them i was to call them back today.
Didnt hear from them off course but only got disconected once in the 24 hrs so that was better , however the other problem still existed where my windows defender still disables itself on start up ! pluss a new problem occured too , clicking on firefox icon nothing happened so i decided to try and uninstall that but i got a mesage saying i cant because its already running ? it wasnt visible so i went into ctrl/alt/del and start task manager and managed to disable the invisible firefox !! eventually , but this was after i called AOL quating my ref number which wasnt going to get me anywhere because even with a ref number in hand for stage 2 the stage 1 still insisted on asking me all the usuall Q about filters blah blah blah...............eventually he said he would put me through to stage 2.music , music , music THEN cut off !! 3 times this happened i was raging
I think the conection problem is fixed now & i have managed to uninstall firefox ( but i didnt want to ) even reinstalling it , it still doesnt run visibley , but is running in background and this windows defender thing is annoying me too
The other major thing which is annoying is that i cannot seem to get my bank online , going through fav's typing it in to address bar , or googling it .

Iam sure my dell laptop is healthy i truly feel that something is up and its to do with AOL .

Unless anybody heer has any other sugestions for me ? cant spend another day sitting here trying to sort this

The problems your having are definitely to do with your computer (Firefox and defender)
