This Claims advisory group have call me 15 times in the last 10 days - and twice today - I have asked them repeatedly to stop calling me - and they keep calling. I have requested to speak to the manager, and asked for my details to be removed from their database - early this afternoon - by 4pm I have received yet another call from them.

I have asked them again to stop calling - but they are becoming a nuisance - I have run to my mobile at time only to have them calling after I have said no 4 times before

    Any Advice??

I had the same calls from Claims Advisory Group but decided to go for it. They said it was no win, no fee.

A week later I got a letter from Bank of Scotland saying they were investigating the claim.

Today I have received a cheque for almost £3000 from Bank of Scotland.

Claims Advisory take 39% of any refunds, so I take it I am obliged to tell them of the cheque I have received?

Of the money Bank of Scotland have given me, some is PPI refund, some is compensation, are Claims Advisory entitled to 39% of everything, even the compensation?

They will be told about it so expect them to come to you very soon.

Yes. They get 39% of everything. Its chargeable to VAT as well. You dont say if that 39% includes VAT or not.

Not bad for 5 minutes work on their part. They get £1170 for a template that looks much like the ones you get for free on this site.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes It would have been great if I new about the templates in the first place. However I see whatever I get as a bonus as without them calling me in the first place I would have never thought that I would be eligible for a refund in the first place.

I have two other loans they are looking into - am I able to cancel the claim and persue it myself do you think?

So far I have just sent off the forms and signed them, but they have written back asking some more info so presumably not started the claim yet.

I would only go with them if you are happy to give up 39% of your claim. And I'm sorry good company or not... 39% is a whopping slice when you can get the same result for free if you go through the FOS yourself. This company is basically acting as a middle man between you and the FOS and the Bank. It's not needed in my view.

Hmm another forum I frequent has been laden with this blog link today. I wonder if you're the same person?
just do not answer the phone

Marevellous advice... work calls me, I can't answer it because it might be CAG cold calling me, the family ring... I can't dare touch that receiver, it's probably the CAG calling me to offer PPI reclaims.

Here's something better... how about you remove people from your database who say no?

Don't get me wrong... you were very useful in alerting me to case of mis sold PPI... but 39% For what... basically filling in the same FOS forms that I did? Is that really worth that? I think not especially when the Bank pretty much has to follow what the FOS advise when they give them the final response, I doubt many PPI claims actually go to court.

Self promoting spam on his part.
