Hope someone can shed some light on my situation, I got an email from these guys about 10 or so weeks ago, I phoned them up and asked them what it was about they answered all my questions as helpfull as they were, I got an application form sent out and I filled it in and sent it to them. I never provied any payment details and i told them this. They said that was fine as they would collect any payments after case was won.
9 weeks on, I phoned them up the other day and they said my bank did not get in contact with them in the desired time frame so they will be taking it to the higher bank courts.
I then was looking on google about them and found this article. Reading this and reading about other peoples concerns, Now i'm concerned... What can I do now ?
Please help someone.
If you can get out of the contract I would do it now and write to them and cancel. If they have not started proceedings (which I very much doubt they have) then just ask that they put it in writing to you that the contract is cancelled as you could be lumbered with charges according to other threads on lots of claims companies on here. It is up to you but that is just my view and others may also post up.0 -
Hello thanks for the reply, I knew I had some sort of claim before anyone got in contact with me. They have started proceedings, it got started about 8 weeks ago. So that is why i was asking what i should do ?0

I don't understand what you mean?. I started my claim about 9 weeks ago proceedings started about 8 weeks ago. I can't remember what I signed at the time. But what they done 8 weeks ago was send a letter out to my bank letting them know that they will be handling the claim etc. After C.A.G sent that letter my bank had then 8 weeks to respond to the letter, if they don't respond to Claims Advisory Group within the 8weeks then Claims Advisory Group will take this claim to the Financial Ombudsman Service. So I phoned them the other day and they are sending out more forms for m to sign so that they can take this further.
I want to know if i can stop the claim?[TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM]0 -

Depends, if they are just sorting out a PPI refund you will probably be OK.
If they are attempting to write of loan or CC balances then your money is probably lost.0 -
Who are the company. Have you read through the threads on here about other claims companies? Wondered if it was one of them. Hopefully yours will be ok.:mad:0

Yes it is just a PPI claim, and the company i'm dealing with are Claims Advisory Group :0

Hi, so they are taking this to FOS for you??? I thought you said here
so they will be taking it to the higher bank courts.
That is why we were concerned as it sounded like "solicitors" were involved. If this is just a simple PPI claim then the higher bank courts (although not quite sure what this means) would not be needed. Just make the complaint and if they dismiss this after the given timescale you would then be free to use the "free" service of FOS.
Sorry if we got it all wrong. Its just that so many of these claims companies have tried to claim back "more" than just PPI and have ended up lumbering consumers with threats of hefty bills often more than their claims totalled IF (and a very big IF) they were to win. You just have to be careful.0
