Went to Mr Ts about 09.30pm last night, for the first time I decided not to follow normal store route and headed straight to the discount shelfs to see if I could get a bargain for Wednesday's dinner...products on show either pretty poor quality or too expensive, so was very disappointed
(guess I'll have to raid the freezer tonight). Ended up spending £3.82 on fresh fruit, juice and Mr.T value bread.
Not too sure about the bread, but I'm going to perserve...keep on dreaming!

Phew - back on track with this weeks grocery shop after last week's disastrous expensive Mr A shop. It really is a case of 'better the devil you know' with Mr M. Total main weekly shop of £34.01.
But will be heading for a store cupboard stock up shop at the Asian and Turkish supermarket this weekend.DFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt

Another NSD here today
There i`ve said it now so i have to stick to it.
I find that if its my day off and i get past 5pm then i`m fine, if i go out later there`s no problem. Its just if i go to the shops early on in the day that i seem doomed :rotfl:
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Spent another £13.64 in T*sco today. Needed to buy some raisins, apricots, grapes and other stuff to keep me regular!!! Also bought some green and white tea for drinking at work. I currently pay 15p for a cup of coffee, 3 times a day, from the vending machine and the green/white tea works out at 5p a cup and is better for me:T.

It's the little things isn't it! I'm just looking at my spending habit and it's not the big shops, it's the little ones - a £1/£2 here and there. Anyway, I am now thinking very hard every time I go into a shop and get 'essentials' only, so perhaps it's £2 now that used to be £6!
Just had HM celery soup (big bowl) which I brought to work frozen, and I am absolutely STUFFED! Nom nom nom!0 -
Hi all
Just completed 3 NSDs in a row, absolute first for me!! :T

Spent €4.50 on some Harissa spice mix to-day, that should be it until Friday when I shop for the extra 4 arriving from London on Saturday...that could be a stretch.

Woohoo...I have managed to be super frugal over the last week and a half. I did my first grocery shop a week last Monday and nothing since then! I suspect I will need a pint of milk this week, but that's it. I had quite alot of meat in the freezer, so I've been batch cooking and really thinking about my meals a few days in advance. I am desperately trying to empty my freezer...but all that seems to happen is that I have loads of batch cooked meals replacing the meat. That's a good thing and it means I have ready made lunch, to stop me spending money on sandwiches when I go to work. It's making me wonder if I'll ever empty the freezer...:D
Over the coming weeks I will need milk and veggies, but I'm starting to wonder if I'm not set for the rest of the month and beyond. I am a little shocked at how much I used to waste and how many times I used to go to the supermarket.
Thanks everyone for the inspiration and support I've found here. :beer:February GC £150/£137.84:A

Oh...but I will need to buy special cat food tomorrow or Friday! It's bound to be expensive as well. My poor cat was rushed into surgery yesterday, as he had blocked urinary tubes. He will have to live on a special diet now.
But he is totally worth every penny, if it keeps him well.February GC £150/£137.84:A

I spent 98 whole pence at the co-op today! Not too bad considering what i had to go through at work though. Sig updated.
Going to have a random dinner tonight (dd and ds will have eaten at their dad's before coming home), so i'm going to open the pantry, pick up the first two or three things, and see what i can make from it! I think that sounds lovely, sort of ready steady cook - type stuff!!
PG xGrocery challenge for family of three - me, dd(12) and ds(11), feeding dp 2 or 3 x a week too. Only food, not toiletries. Jan £87.97/£100 Feb £0/£100
