Oh no Mrs M, Im not on your list. Is this because I am a complete disgrace? :rotfl:
So a declaration of £358 for February (budget £240). Bad. I am outrageously over budget
Reasons/learnings- Catfood was on offer in As*a so I stocked right up, it seemed silly not to just to stick to a budget, if it saves me money in the long run.
- Husband encourages stepchildren to 'fill up' on meat! Currently undergoing retraining programme
- Bought 'treat' food for Valentines day
- Freezer is full to bursting, including cooked meals ready to be reheated
- Experimented with £10 beef in slow cooker that was revolting and needed chucking. For anyone who has ever wondered if pickled onions go in stew, they don't.
Thank you Mrs M and Rosieben for doing the thread, and thank you to everyone else for posting, for reassuring and supporting, encouraging and inspiring, you're a lovely bunch:A :TDebt £26k 18/10/140 -

loopychriss wrote: »Is there a new thread for this one yet please? I haven't quite finished February yet, as mine runs from the 1st day of the month till the last, so last day will be Sunday.
My month runs as the calender month i.e. first day to last day and starts again on the first day of the next month but I knew I wasn't going to spend anything else on groceries so I declared early.
I have got very controlled on NSDs and only buy groceries in my big shop. If I have run out of something I use something different or make it i.e. bread.
I don't include meals out though.GC Jan £318/£350, Feb £221.84/£300, Mar £200.00/£250 Apr £201.05/£200 May £199.61/£200 June £17.25/£200

I think £200 is quite fair so I would like to try £200 for March please
Bunnies are very well fed, indeedwe spend about £10 a week on 5 bunnies so £2 each but that is a luxury diet to save on potential vet fees

i am so happy to have found this thread as i know that i seriously underbudget my food bill and waste /throw out far to much of what i buy. I think I am spending in the region of £500-600 which for a family of 2 adults 2children (4yrs and 7 months) and a dog is just crazy. I'm going to aim for £450 for March and take it from thereCC debt Aug 2018 £50.2K

Good afternoon everyone,
Hi to all the newbies. You will find the people on this thread so supportive and generous with their advice and experience.:)
I managed to come under budget this month (slightly) but it is a short month so not feeling too smug.
Mrs. Mc could you put Highland Fling down for £160 for March please.
Just having pasta and meatballs for tea tonight. Made a big batch ages ago and froze it in portions, so it only involves defrosting and reheating. Looking forward to a shiny new thread for March and wish everyone well as we embark on a new GC.It takes a long time to eat an elephant and I'm doing it a bite at a time!!!0 -
Yay I am on the list! I have not been cast out :j
Thanks again Mrs M :ADebt £26k 18/10/140
