I hope it's not the bedroom that you sleep in, or keep the majority of your clothes in? I'd suggest leaving it for tonight as you must be exhausted by now, and assuming you can sleep/wash/dress in the morning then tackle it again when you're fresh.

Have you got a helpful neighbour who might have a look at it for you?

All my shoes are in there! I have no idea why Im laughing, mybe cause if I dont I will cry! I currently have a pair of cow print wellies with pink soles and a pair of pink flluffy slippers. Thankfully I am not at work tomorrow. Going to give it one more go and then I will give up for the night!

  • you've given it a good go but you dont want to damage something or hurt yourself.
get a friend round in the morning to have a look.
  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ITS OPEN!!!!

I did it!! Go me!! (well actually go you!) The coke bottle got stuck so I poked it with the knife whilst shoving myself against it and there was a kinda click noise and it opened!!!! :T:T:T:T

Thank you all so so much!!

One more question.............should I just leave the handle off now?

    Woohoo, well done you :T.

Unless you are going to move all your shoes out tonight, I would leave the door open and wedged open with a chair or something each side, to make sure you don't have to go through all this again in the morning if a draught from the window blows it shut again!

  • well done Linz.
i think the latch is at fault, so the handle doesnt really matter until that is sorted.
i dont think you'll be able to sort it yourself. stock up on biscuits, put the kettle on and get a friend round.

You probably only need a new latch, probably only a couple of quid in Wilkies
Are you going to have a door opening party at the weekend ?
Don't forget the invites to all your friends.
