If you have less than 25% Hard drive space free....nothing will make your PC run well in Vista or XP, same goes if you have alsorts of programs running all the time wasting RAM . I see people every day with a taskbar full of running stuff saying their PC is slow...of course it is when it's working so hard on top of what they are doing lol
Startup programs can be found in windows Defender in Vista ...you can diisable the ones you don't use all the time in there so they don't start up when you turn on the machine and can't waste memory until needed.

Timmers do you know an easy way of getting rid of 'grokster' showing up via PC pitstop but everything on google is saying if you try and remove you run the risk of destroying comp!

oooh eerrr lol, 26!! Nah dont worry it'll just get rid of them all hun, my laptop had 21 so you not alone, you can run malaware once a week i love it, gets rid of all the stuff you wouldnt even know was there.

Oh and dont feel stupid either, theres a techie site on the forum and they are really helpful with stuff like this hun, you should find though once you've run malaware your pc will run faster.
