question? - does anyone know what I can do to stop my pc hanging up every few minutes or so - it just freezes randomly for 3 or 4 seconds - its doin' my 'ead in

What Windows are you using ?

It's probably low on memory due to stuff running in the background that you aren't using or needing like Office and Realplayer, maybe getting full on the drive too...get to 25% free and that hurts performance badly, and it could be just too warm because the cooling is covered if it's a lappie.

If you get task manager up by pressing ctrl alt del all at once there's a little graph there telling you how much work it's doing, and a list of what's actually running right now...you can close them from there too.

The whole thing just freezes, cursor, typing, even any moving smilies, everything just freezes, no response last 3 or 4 seconds then goes back to normal but after a minute (sometimes less) it happens again - been getting worse over past week.

I'm using Windows Vista - its happened about 5 times whilst typing this!!!!!!! help!!!
