Illegal to blow your nose while stationary with the handbrake on!

I was in my friend's car driving out of Bangkok and we got stopped by the police. As a passenger, I couldn't see that my friend did anything wrong. After a bit of talking, my friend handed over 500 THB and was free to go. My friend explained that the policeman just needed to earn a bit more money as they don't get paid much.
If this policeman that stopped the guy for blowing his noise was in a similar situation, then fine, I'll give him his £60 so he can feed his family. But I doubt this.
There will be enough public support for this poor guy to get his fine cancelled; whatever the outcome of the courts. It would not be in this country's interest for the police to win this case. It's as if this country is going OTT with health and safety and other PC. Why can't people just use common sense?0 -
Common sense is a misnomer. These days it's a lot less common than you'd think.0

Hopefully he will be sacked for wasting police time!0

I'm retired with a bit of money. I always carry a mini digi camera and by God if I see a copper eating/drinking etc I'll have him and go to court to expose the lunacy this country has got itself into. If he thinks he can get away with 'doing me' for photographing him then the best of luck matey. I eagerly await the day, you'll be the first to know.0

It could be an offence to photograph police officers. Section 76 of the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008.

This is indeed true - yet another example of new offence created by the current regime that runs the country, that needs to be revoked ASAP."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
Hey Hothothot - that's nothing. I passed a patrol car with blues and twos on, going hell for leather in a 30 limit with the woman driver swigging from a coke can! I've also seen police officers using mobiles and eating from a bag of chips on their laps while driving. Oh yes, and going straight on in a turn-right-only lane (and no they weren't on a shout), going from the acceleration lane straight across me to the outside lane on a motorway with absolutely no use of indicators, again, not on a shout and have you noticed how often they have faulty lights? Funny how they can book us for that!
No wonder no-one has any respect for the police any more.0
