THEY MUST BE MAKING A FORTUNE WHAT WITH ALL THE FLU LIKE BUGS GOING ROUND AT THE MO:mad:I

Quite.
The motorist is an easy target though, and Fixed Penalty Notices are a nice money earner for the forces budget.
I frequently notice officers committing equally petty offences, water bottle in hand whilst steering with the other etc.. its double standards, nothing new there. Next time I see it I will take a picture and make a police complaint. More people should do. Grumbling wont stop this happening.
Your likely to get in trouble for taking the photo of them!0 -

probably. they dont seem to like that do they. Obviously wouldnt do it whilst driving, only if I was pedestrian or passenger.
Probably would end up arrested for some stitched up reason mind you.
Yep, New World Order is firmly in place.0 -

Also people being booked for eating an apple/sweets, the country has gone to the dogs. I haven't heard of a ticket yet for smoking but I'm sure it will happen one day. They'll do you for opening your window next.0 -
edit, link failed.
Anyway this particular bright spark gave a £50. ticket to someone who dropped a £10.00 note.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
your right wig, now you can't even sneeze without getting a ticket. the guy was stationary with the handbrake applied. in what way was he not in control of the vehicle?
the officer who gave the ticket should be hauled over the coals for this, its another reason why folk have no respect for the police....work permit granted!0 -
The link didn't fail, it just took about 6 attempts to get to work, it did eventually.
There's more on that subject here

- same officer apparently I wonder if the officers decided to lie when they found out the £10 litter charge wouldn't stick (as it undoubtedly wouldn't).0 -
From reading the story I think they will try to get hime for "holding onto his tissue" as he then got ready to drive on, as he admits in his account.goldspanners wrote: »your right wig, now you can't even sneeze without getting a ticket. the guy was stationary with the handbrake applied. in what way was he not in control of the vehicle?
Absolutely right, this and apples and sweets and and running your hand through your hair.the officer who gave the ticket should be hauled over the coals for this, its another reason why folk have no respect for the police.
What I don't get is that all these stupid fines are happening when people with one arm are allowed to drive, ....If they can drive with one hand why can't Joe Bloggs do it for a few seconds? Also a driver is allowed to open/close a window, turn on radio etc (at least we always have been able to do these things)0 -
I saw a police officer drinking from a bottle of water whilst driving with only the other hand just a couple days back.
Theres also a police officer who has been reported by a member of the public for eating a sausage roll in the police car whilst driving over speed bumps.
