"the cop who handed out the ticket was PC Stuart Gray - dubbed PC Shiny Buttons for his zealous approach to the job. He was exposed last year after he issued a £50 fixed penalty to a man who accidentally dropped a £10 note in the street."

From reading the article it states that they stopped him as he pulled off (vehicle moving).
His nose was probably still running then,;););)
FFSake.
What is the difference between taking your hand of the wheel to indicate, sound the horn, change gear, switch the lights or wipers on, wind the window up/down, tune the radio................................................
and scrathing your !!!!, nose ,ear etc, pick yer nose, eat a sweet and god knows what else??????I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

I wouldn't pay it either i'd rather it went to court.
It's stupid things like this that just make the police look like !!!!!holes, its just not neccesary. Maybe if the driver was riding the clutch whilst blowing his nose with a fag in one hand and a cup of coffee rested between his legs not wearing his seatbelt ok......but come on.......blowing your nose. It won't be long before your not allowed to use the radio in the car for fear of not being in control. I see most BMW drivers already do away with the indicators for fear of letting go of the steering wheel and getting a fine lolEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

Quite.
The motorist is an easy target though, and Fixed Penalty Notices are a nice money earner for the forces budget.
I frequently notice officers committing equally petty offences, water bottle in hand whilst steering with the other etc.. its double standards, nothing new there. Next time I see it I will take a picture and make a police complaint. More people should do. Grumbling wont stop this happening.0 -
