    I've been Money Tipped!
    Oh samace, poor you.

My DH boke a rib in the ice,and , when I was first starting to get about after being ill I had been bed bound and needed chairs/crutches and lived in a fifth floor walk up flat! I go really good at patiently going up and down on my bum, taking a rest on each landing.

    You take care ok?

I couldn't agree more with Adrian about cutting out the sugary stuff if you feel you have to pick...I know for me its a loser, its not the sugar spikes its that it awakens a desire for sweet on my tongue.............

Thanks LiR, I can't take any more care than I am at the mo :) I honestly felt like I'd taken root to the sofa on Sunday... I still managed to hobble round the kitchen to cook valentine's dinner though - otherwise we wouldn't have ate!

  • Well after a really bad week last week, and by bad I mean i didnt cheat at all but only lost 1lb this week seems to be a total turn around, I weighed in last sat so today felt the need to sneak a look.....and I have lost 3lbs totally chuffed with it and still have no yearning to eat anything bad. Fingers crossed this continues to saturday and I have a bumper week!! I have no cravings at all for sweet things now nor bread or crisps but has taken nearly 7 weeks for me to totally get over that. Now I just need to try and find time to add exercise to my day somehow

7 weeks!!!!!!! I'm struggling and it's only the first day!

snuggle69, well done on the 3lb loss, I'm sure it will keep up till the weekend WI! :T

I have resisted chocolate so far, am very proud as it's been a hard day!!! My only consolation is that it will get easier. And that I might finally lose some weight. :rotfl: I was so annoyed at myself for falling off the Lent wagon last year and am determined to succeed this year.

  • Hi

TARA......I've had a think and decided that I will eat a piece of fruit EVERYDAY during Lent, probably with my lunch instead of the packet of crisp's or cereal bar I usually have with it!

Let's hope that I can keep to it!!!!

Good luck everyone else who is giving up or trying something new for Lent
deep breath and here we go.....................
