  • I've been turning my washing machine down to 30C. So far the clothes have come out just as fresh and clean and it will save me money!
  • I've just put a compost bin in the garden, and I've got a more efficient cooker, and I'm going to cook on a little campfire in my garden made from bits of waste wood when the weather gets a bit warmer. :) I like having a pay-as-you-go electricity meter, it really helps you to see how fast you're using electricity! Though my provider doesn't have renewable energy.

I've also moved closer to town, so I can walk in instead of getting the bus, and I'm buying things in more recyclable packaging - eg, cat food in tins instead of packets.
  • I'm going to grow my own fruit and veg and arrange for my loft to be insulated..:j
  • In addition to growing veg and composting, I plan to make toys for my daughter, and encourage our relatives to do the same, or simply give us pretty rocks or shells that they've picked up on walks.
  • I'm going to get my boiler serviced and lag my pipes!
  • I'm going to continue my journey towards living an almost self sustainable life. More veg than ever this year!!:j

I'm hoping to get a wood burning stove fitted so that we don't have to use as much oil for the heating.
  • I'm going to grow my own fruit and veg and walk more.
  • I'm going to start a car-share scheme at work so that me and 2 of my colleagues can travel into work together and save on petrol as well as reduce our carbon footprint!
  • This year I'm going to do more draught-proofing round doors, put heat reflectors behind all my radiators, grow more food in the garden and get a wood stove...
