I've decided to cut out the consumption of sprouts.
In this way I will lower my emissions to that of your average brown cow.
Ha ha, just kidding - I love sprouts, especially the ones you buy on stalks, because they're much fresher than the ones that have been sat festering in those green punnets for weeks on end.
I've already started cutting my emissions by turning a big old wooden box into a the base of a compost heap. Millions of us don't think of the benefits of composting but it's so, so easy. All your scraps of vegetables - just throw them on the heap. As they degrade and mulch, you can use them to help your garden grow.
Less waste, more green goodness. It couldn't be easier.
I need this book to give me a hitch up with some more emission-cutting ideas.0 -

I'm going to find a more convenient space for my bicycle and start using it again. I'm going to grow herbs in stack pots (using our home-made coompost!) and stop buying and wasting packaged herbs.:j0

I love reading these kinds of books

This year, I plan to continue and increase things that I started in 2010:
Buying vintage and second-hand instead of new where possible
Getting off the bus one stop early
And when I move house in summer and will be living alone, I will try and use eco-friendly cleaning products wherever possible
Hope I get a book!
