I'm going to get the heating turned down a couple of degrees
  • turned the thermostat down on central heating; shopping in local village instead of driving to big supermarket; all bulbs now low energy; running instead of driving to gym and working from home.
  • I'm going to put extra insulation in the loft.
  • Yes please! Anything that will help me to save money (and the planet) would be very welcome.:):T

I'm going to grow even more fruit and vegetables this year.
I'm continuing to cut back on electric/gas usage (even though I use well below the national average :j)
I'm driving my car as economically as possible and I've started walking for as many short journies as possible.
My partner and I are also doing as many chores each time we use the car, so we use it less often and we've started doing our shopping together (we don't live together - yet) instead of separately)

I bring all the recycleable paper and plastic home from work to put in my recycling bin, cos our company doesn't have recycling collection.
I bring all my fruit peelings/skins home from work to put in the compost bin.

In fact I'm trying to do as many things that are good for my pocket and the environment.

Good luck to everyone doing their bit...:A
  • I'm going to start crocheting/knitting my own bags. I will then give these as presents (saving money) and also watch less tv/use computer. I'm even going to attempt to unravel an old jumper (thats going into holes) to try to do this (may keep this one for me!)
