Reducing taking the car for short trips.
Remembering to turn lights off around the house.
Even though we have energy saving bulbs throughout the house I am looking into putting lower wattage bulbs where brighter light is not essential.
Lowering the thermostat on the heating by 1 degree.

one son walks to college (half hour), the other two cycle to the station then take train to school...NO MORE CAR!!!

We're all set to use our new veg. beds in spring!
We'll need to keep composting too, so we can put some more on the beds.
Maybe this is the year to collect rain water for the garden?0 -
I got the kids involved to help cut my high electric bills, they take a weekly meter reading and use the i measure site to track our energy use. its opened there eyes to not only the cost but our carbon footprint. with giving them more responsibility they are having fun and doing a great job taking steps to reduce our energy consumption.0

Like more plastic, tetrapacks, and to pick up cardboard - thus I won't have to get in a car and go to the recycling centre as I do now. Oh, and I already grow me own veg.
