Why repeat your insults ? The assumption that people in low paying jobs are dumb is so disgusting and insulting!! How can you kick people when they are down?!?!
    Girl geek and proud! :rotfl:
  • Agree with Bunni - why kick people when they are down? What is the point.

I can only assume that Litesp33d has a vast amount of IT knowledge, hence why he knows how to work the forum and double post.

    Go Litesp33d - you rock...

Litesp33d - Your two posts in this thread are probably the most vindictive I've read since joining MSE. Why did you have to post something like that? These people are only trying to give themselves better job prospects and you lambast them for attempting to do that.
  • Hopefully i can get my company to pay for some exams but dont want to be tied to them or have to pay it back if i leave. Still feel like i have been screwed over though. Wonder when we shall here something.

Am sure there are people out there like me who are definately not numpties... I already work as a Field Engineer in a mixed IT environment using UNIX and Windows.

I as well as probably others are doing these courses to get their certifications as proof, to show certain employers that we can do the job because being self taught doesn't always count for much these days...

Also... My fiancee used to be a hairdresser but decided to follow her dreams and is now an Archeologist so your assumptions, she says, you know where you can stick them...

Think before opening your trap and show a little consideration.

The only way I'm a numpty is that I can't find my contract or T&C's - I started my course (MCSE) in November 2007 so if anyone who started round about the same time and doing the same course have their T&C's, please could you post them?

    Cheers
  • My partner signed up for an Access to trade course a couple of weeks a go and received the same email last night. I take it they were all owned by the same people!

It's sickening that they can take 5k from people knowing for a fact that they are about to go bankrupt....

Let's hope that we hear something...

I will be posting all of the information I have gathered about Advent and their seemingly endless 'other' companies which appear at the very least in address to be the same later this evening and see if we can get some sort of petition together.

Their practices seem unscrupulous at best and illegal at worst.

I didn't know you could spell 'scum' as 'litesp33d' until now.

Roka - I think I started around then - so I will check my T&C's and let you know.

I am exactly the same - I work in the IT sector already. All self taught, just trying to get the nice shinny certificate to proove it.
