Hello,
I have also been following this on Consumeractiongroup. There is talk of a legal challenge to Barclays now, any chance of getting Martin to look into this for us all?0 -
OLCI is picking up all the access2trades plumbing, gas and electrical students. Call them on 08003284163 and carry on with your training.0
-
I called Barclays today, all students will now be training with Computeach.
No backing out of the credit agreements now, not a hope.0 -
You should all recieve letters in the next few days, if you're on the training course with Advent, detailing new stuff and things about your course with computeach and where they're going to restart you all from. Prepare for a repeat start of the current module, I think.
I don't think you can back out of the credit agreement now (with Advent) as they've managed to secure exact and replacement courses. They're suppyling it, so they're not really in breach of contract as long as the course and methods are exactly the same with no price difference at all.0 -
Just went to the computeach website and left details for information on cost. Apparantly the course fee is time linked. If you can spend the time on it the course completed in 1 year would cost approx £1200, wanted to have a chat regarding my requirements and went a bit quiet when i mentioned my course with advent and the finance with Barclays personal finance. If this is indeed the case this falls far short of the cost for the original agreement. would this mean we would be entitled to a refund on the difference ??? Was a quick call so might be worth while phoning yourselves and see if you get the same info. Look forward to your posts people.0

If I were you a lot I would run for the hills.
I used to work for Computeach and you guys have got problems.
The directors of Advent used to work for CT and they set up a rival company due to the fact CT had a bad reputation. A few years down the line and they have now sent all of their students back to CT.
I thought Barclays or PKF where supposed to find you a new provider who was similar if not better. WellCT is a lot worse and you will find out why.
When I worked there, they had a policy of making sure you could not complete the course. They would make you pass an internal exam at 98% before they allowed you to take the real exam. It would take a student on average 12 months to complete the A+, where with other providers you can complete in 1 month.
If you ever get to take your Microsoft exams, you will be studying for 2003 Server exams, when other providers are offering 2008 Server exams, blimey they are 7 years behind.
If I were you lot, I would fight this all of the way and don’t give up until it is sorted0 -
so whos providing the new course? barclays for PKF?0

Any one who has a finance agreement with barclays partner finance will get the course through computeach. Seen many comments like the one above on other sites , they dont fill me with confidence at all0
-
Unsure.. about this if anyone of us did their home work prior to signing up with advent as a supplier then go with computeach.
I going to be writing a letter of complaint any way (constructivley) as I am not happy at all with the 4 month delay in sorting all this out.
I would like to walk away from the agreement completely, and will agree to lose some funds in the process, if I can just to thanks but no thanks.
I don't want the stress of this all any more.
Can someone point me in the right direction of the consumer action group website and how to locate the thread with regards to all this.0 -
I know this has been said over and over but im not too happy being forced into another training course that i havent researched or even have a choice with.
I still have the advent brochure so ill put the stuff down for arguments sake:

The last point is the one that matters most to me: Free recruitment service.
If that is not part of a new course, its not what i wanted.
I mean cant that then change to the Consumer Credit Act 1974: If you have received unsatisfactory goods or services paid for under this agreement you may have the right to sue the supplier, us, or both. (taken from the BPF loan agreement copies)
Its not what i paid for!0
