Morning everyone. Up and moving about here, feel slightly better and really MUST get this application thing done today. Going to grab a coffe or three and put it all together while I have the house and the quiet to myself.
Wishing everyone a good day! xxI am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody! Louis L'Amour0 -
Looking for jobs and am completely terrified! Have completely lost confidence, aaargghh:eek:
Know just what you mean paulabear - I got stuck in a dead end job in my late teens and was still there in my late 20's. I had lost all my confidence. My mum used to get the weekly job paper and I just used to sit and cry when she read jobs out to me - I felt completely out of my depth.
I finally got a job driving for a bakery, got my confidence restored in myself, and I've moved onwards and upwards ever since.
Not sure what sort of job you are looking for and I expect you will have done this to some degree if you've done a cv, but have you thought about making a list of all the things you do on a daily basis - you organise a team (your kids), you timekeep, you cook for an army, etc etc. Then when you look at the work you need to do in any job, it will look easy in comparison.:jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0 -
Good luck Munchki, I'm sure it'll all come together nicely.:jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0

Morning all. Happy Valentines Day! I'm being lazy on the sofa this morning. Have been feeling rough the last few days with an infection on my gum. I got a great night's sleep last night though so am feeling marginally better this morning, but still vegging.
I have lots to get listed so am going to try and do that later, or at least some of it.
Hope everyone that is ill feels better soon.
Looking forward to seeing the notebook SS, I love stationary too.
We looked at wedding venues yesterday so the pressure is really on to make some money now to pay for it.0 -
Shell those pics are great! I love that kind of thing, something a bit different, go you!
Paulabear, take a deep breath, you'll be fine, it's always scary thinking about a new job, we've all been there I'm sure, so we'll be holding your hand! Come ask if you need any help, isn't it brilliant how someone on here always knows the answer!
Hales, was that a full blown wobbly? I thought it was just a little wiggleHoller if you need help with the board, even if you just want a week off!
Bluecow I know nothing about scheduled listing I'm afraid, just going to go attempt turbolister in a moment myself .... Your bundles should sell well though from what I recall someone here got a great return, and IIRC even better if you say in your listing that you'll post abroad.
Ikkleosu you sound so positive and raring to go! :T I can only echo what you said, this thread is brilliant for support, of every kind!
Jo, I hope your DD is feeling better this morning, and Cally I hope you've got rid of your migraine, bliddy awful things, and Yukki hope you're feeling much better too!
Munchki, don't want to see you on msn till you're doneWell ok, maybe just for a wee break later :rotfl:
I'd best get myself organised, sitting here in pj's, the house is like a midden and dear Daddykins will be over shortly to help me out with the car..... catch up with you all later!

Morning and Happy valentines! (although I do feel it's a commercial con!!!)
Having said that I got taken out for a very nice (and expensive ekk!) meal last night so have been catching up on the dribble this morning!
Hope everyone is feeling a bit better today.
I want to do something constructive but I'm not sure what! Got 14 auctions ending today and my husband has 3 things listed as well which he said can go towards my total! One of his is an old car badge, which someone e-mailed saying is very rare to be found new now, it's got over 20 watchers and has gone up to £12.50 already over night so that should be interesting.
Hales, I know I'm a bit late to comment but I think the commitment board is great, you need some kind of system and the red to green works well. Thanks for all your work (and can I please carry my commitments over to next week?;))
Check in again later to let you know how much the badge makesMum to 2 DSs, dog mum, wife full-time worker.

Looking for jobs and am completely terrified! Have completely lost confidence, aaargghh:eek:
Part of getting a job is in how you market yourself anyway, when writing your CV/ coverletter etc (or whatever they require) make sure you list your experience and strengths and tie them into what the job ad wants, which does not always have to be relevant. Eg, you have worked in care, so you could say you have management/ people skills/ are used to dealing with public etc.
Then something that worked for me was to put a list of the CVs and job ads in a nice pile by phone so it someone called me I could quickly remember the job and details and impress opon them again EXACTLY why they needed to hire me lol.
On the day dress to kill, you'll feel more confident!
Final words of wisdom I was once given ... think of all those jobs you don't get as practise ... not rejection! I left one interview oneday and laughed (would have cried but it was so awful I couldn't help laughing!) then a week later ended up with a much better job! So you do just never know ...
Good luck~"Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without!!"Nov NSD: ?/30 Nov Make 10 Day ?/300Get Rid Of Debt: ?/2000 !! :mad:0
