  • Hi everyone :)
Haven't read today's posts yet, I'll go through them in a minute. OH has just gone...couldn't sleep at 6.30am, so had the idea to stay awake and catch an early train back. Apart from it's really noisy there...planned to stay awake until 4pm and try to fix our sleeping habits, but that failed too...agreed to have an hours nap and woke up about half an hour ago. Watched the end of the Scotland v Wales Rugby and now OH has gone home...he'll be back tomorrow.

I've got my notebook creation to keep me busy, and learning Spanish, and more writing for the online site...should have £150 in savings if I write it and am paid for it today. That's not too bad in just over a week, I don't think.

Feeling really rubbish. Hope everyones okay...I said I'd be quieter on here today and let someone else talk, but I'll be reading!

    E x

Good afternoon all. Had a very productive day so far. Been round all the odd purses, old handbags etc and emptied a bottle of change - result is £40 put in the bank this morning and added to my total.

Called to see my old boss from when i was a teenager (many moons ago) to get some tips on wholesalers and came away with some sound advice and an offer of help if I need it.

Since then, done loads of jobs I've been getting round to for a couple of weeks, admired my sister's new car and managed not to look too jealous, dusted the front room and am just off to the local shopping centre to see if I can grab some bargains for ebay.

Tonight I am all alone with a bottle of Baileys, a bar of chocolate (did someone mention slimming world?? Aargh!) and turbolister. My last few bits and bobs finish on ebay tonight so need to get myself into gear and all fired up again. (Bit of a mix of metaphors there, but I'm sure you get the drift :))

Hope everyone is having a good day, catch up with you all tonight

Okay, going to sort out stuff to list on eBay tonight.
Just remembered my mum owes me £18

Made the mistake of looking at ASOS for going back to work clothes, found SO much I want :rotfl:. Dress code is pretty much anything but I looked like mrs frump with a bump when I was pregnant so kind of want to look more yummy mummy style lol. In all fairness the clothes are very versatile i.e black trousers etc.

Off to hint to people about my well priced massages lol :rotfl:

I've spent a pleasant afternoon playing with inks and CDs and my new crop-a-dile that arrived this morning. I've got a fair few more bits put together - might try a few on Misi and the rest on Folksy - and will probably do some more tonight. I've worked out how best to do lots at a time as when I've been doing odd bits for me I've just done one at a time, but I really need to get a production line going to save time. I think they are really pretty so hopefully other people will too. The effect is a little like dichroic glass, but with inks and acrylic glaze rather than glass.

I'm doing chilli for dinner as I've been doing the South Beach diet for a while, for health rather than weight loss, but the last two or three weeks have been hard going and I've started eating rubbish again. So I've gone back to phase 1 of South Beach (no grains, no fruit) and chilli is easy cos I fill up on chilli and DH and DD can have rice with it as well. I've been back on it seriously nearly a week now and I'm really noticing the difference in my energy levels already which is great.

    Hi all,

I have updated the commitments board - I have decided against posting a copy of it - the updated version is on page 147.

I don't know if you would like me to continue doing the board??

Id just like to say that the board doesnt have to be specific to tasks - even if you put down that you would like to do one useful thing towards the 10k goal - That way you can decide what task it may be?

I know a couple of you have found that having your lists red has been upsetting and disheartening and I apologise for that, I thought the colour's may help to motivate people but obviously I was wrong.

I hope your all having a great day

    Afternoon all,

The Oh has survived another day some serious talking needs to be done once kids are in bed tonight, although he did have me a bunch of flowers delived for vals day, not vry money saving (he is really crap at that anyway0 but earned him a brownie point as I seriously considered leaving it all behind last night.

had a kids party to attend today so nothing very productive done although my nappy cake was a big sucess last night and she said she has already passed my number round to friends :) . So tonight I am gonna make some up for friends to take into work and also do a paper towel cake for mothers day to list on ebay tomorrow. My head is whizzing with ideas yet again but I need to get them off the ground if I am gonna do anything in the least productive. I will take pics and upload if some of you kind ladies feel like giving advice lol

Saucy - chin up hunni tomorrow is not that far away, I will be around this evening with my glass of rose this time as long as OH behaves :) xxx

We all appreciate the work you put into keeping and updating the board Hales, thank you so very much. You have absolutely nothing to apologise for, it was and still is, a brilliant idea. I know a couple of folk have, for their own reasons, come off the challenge/commitments, but am also aware that they have so much else going on in their lives. It doesn't necessarily work for everyone, but I think most of us really love the challenge of turning our reds to green (even if I haven't quite got there yet!) and it's like a virtual notebook of what we plan to do. I for one love it and don't think the idea was wrong at all, in any way, shape or form. I'd love it to continue, and I think that anyone who's not benefitting from it will make their own decisions as to whether to come off or not.

If you feel it's too much work Hales, let us all know, you have to have time to do what YOU want to do too. If need be we could take turns perhaps? Thank you for your time, enthusiasm and drive! :T

  • Hales, me personally I find it great. And it has really helped me stay on track, because I can often just get into doing other things online and not getting my tasks done. So, I have to co-sign with Toots.
    Thanks so much Hales x
