  • I think with all my current ventures I wouldn't have time for Ebay, but who knows, maybe I will eventually?
I have a brand new Mothercare pushchair which is about 4 months old and has never been used under the bed, it cost £75 when I bought it and has a rain cover, matching bag, etc. Is it worth putting that on Ebay, do you think?

I've no idea about the second hand baby market but it would probably sell really easily. It'd be difficult/expensive to post so if you did sell it on ebay I'd offer local pick-up as an option. Actually, I think the local pick-up option gets a higher price than sending. You could maybe try gumtree or the local paper. Our local paper has lots of baby things for sale. I guess most parents are trying to save a bit of money and as it's still brand new, I think people would jump at the chance to get their hands on it!

Maybe some of the other mums on here could advise?
  • Thanks, I didn't think about the postage...

Just logged into Ebay, and now I'm worried. Paypal refunded me for the items not recieved this morning, and then the seller wanted to cancel the transaction. Phoned paypal who told me to accept that, and now when I log in, it's telling me to pay for the items again...

Oh yeah. and ebay can be really time consuming!! Hats off to those that can list 20 or 30 items in one go. The most I can cope with is nine! It gets so confusing - I can't even remember if I sent this poor Valentine boy's parcel recorded delivery or not!!!

Hmm, ebay is asking you to pay again? Was it a message or does it just show that you haven't paid when you look at items you won? I think ebay keeps all the listings you buy or sell and if everyone's happy (ie Paypal, the seller and you) then I would just ignore it.

However, I'm willing to be advised by a more experienced ebayer than me! There are loads of them on this thread.........
  • It just says "Items I need to pay for" and the items are listed there...I've posted in the Ebay thread, but I'm hoping Ebay will just catch up....

I'm distracting myself by making a recipe notebook. I've used pink paper, though, and wondered if I should have left pink out to keep it unisex? There is blue on it too...

(Am I over thinking tonight? Lol!)

Yeah, that sounds like ebay will catch up. The buyer's not chasing you for payment and Paypal's not chasing you for payment so I think it's just a bit of ebay-lag!

Ooh, recipe notebook sounds cool - were you one of the notebook groupies? I read so many threads in one night to catch up I've forgotten who said what :rotfl:
  • I make them, but I've never sold them. I even helped someone recreate one I made for my OH's mother for mothers day the other day, and they sent pictures to Not on the High Street...I'm still unsure about whether I'll make them to sell, though. I just don't feel they are good enough...I don't have anyone to show them too and ask what they think. I'm making this one and I plan on photographing it and putting images on here tomorrow, I'll see what people think. Could be a nice money maker for Spain if it works, but things like that don't happen to me, lol.

But yes, I am a serial notebook junkie, lol. I have tons by my bed. I really struggle to write in them, though, I love them too much!

Ha ha, that portion of the thread did make me laugh!! Seems you're not alone though, you brought a good few people out of the notebook closet :rotfl:

Can't wait to see the photos. And you know you'll get lots of honest support on here. At 2000 Euros a month in rent, you'll need to start selling them ;)
  • Haha yes, I can't believe I couldn't find them...Amber helped, though, and I've found a gorgeous one for 650 euros a month, which is about £600 at the moment, and cheaper then our studio here! It has a balcony, too. And is quite close to OH's work.
    Tis a dream come true!

I'm quite excited to show everyone. Hence working at 3am!! Not tired in the slightest yet though. Think its my painkillers, they are strong and keep me awake, but I have to take some at midnight. And then the hospital want me awake at 7.30am to make an appointment...not a chance, lol!
