I have no idea what made me join - I have absolutely no experience in having a business and had no idea what to do other than buy and sell on Ebay. I'm a stay-at-home mum with three kids and have a mad life as it is, seems I'm never happy
I am right at the very beginning of starting out and wouldn't have bothered if it weren't for this thread!
MMTWGR, please will you put my motives as being 'pay off debt and start driving' and my ideas as being 'have enough stock to start a shop on Etsy' please? Thank you, and I'm going to change my signature to something a bit more positive, when I think of it!
Same here paulabear! only i have 1 not 3!!! (YET!!)0 -
thanks for the tip off to martins programme tonight, he should be knighted! If anyone hasn't got his books they are well worth a read to complement what we already know from the site...I would never ever have know about him or this site had I not seen someone on a train a few years back reading 'the money diet' and was so intrigued by what it may be about(!) I bought it next day...the rest is history though sady my credit card isn't.....YET!0

ooooo i am soooooooooooooooo confused now how many threads do we need?
sorry i havent posted for a few days, and sorry i dont read all the posts, the main thing is.... you are all keeping your mojo motoring:p
I will be quiet for the next few weeks, as we are contemplating moving the business to bigger premises, this will mean a huge jump in rent, but a lease:eek:
If we go ahead with this.... ( which it looks as though we might) it will mean my business can take full advantage of diff avenues, which we are only dipping our toes in..so to speak...
so dont forget... there is allways a risk...in business, and its only YOU that can take that risk away...by being clever..... thinking outside the box..... and being one step ahead of the competition.....and trying to maximise.. you business/10k challenge to the full....
from my personal point of view..... i find the 'buzz' from people earning the money motorvates me more than the ideas... if that makes sense...:rotfl:Work to live= not live to work0 -

Well im gone for a few hours and look at all I have to catch up on! lolHas anyone any ideas for selling my vinyl LPs. I could put them on ebay but P&P is a bit difficult. I wondered if there was a site like musicmagpie.
Good to see everyone is doing so well.
Try an independant local music store! They pay the best for vinyl!lindseykim13 wrote: »oh yes the massage thing i would make some cards up/flyers and drop them into businesses in the area. give the employer the idea of keeping their workers happy etc with a 10min massage. you'd only need 1 business to say yes to get your table money back.
Be careful you make it crystal clear the type of massage you do, youd be suprised at the amount of dirty old men that will call expecting moretrying_hard wrote: » Hello

Hey there! so glad you joined us!
well i have some updates nothing major, but i am cradling a screaming baby and have a manic 4 year old running riots atm, so i shall update as soon as their daddy gets home from work shortly lol10k in 2010 - £350.77 :beer:0 -
wow, what a lot of posts I've just caught up on and some amazing ideas
I wish I was creative, I love going to craft fayres and I love the quirky, unusual bits of jewellery you can pick up at them but there is no way I could ever create them. I think the only thing I can make are tutu's which I have made and sold to friends for their little one's in the past but for the volume of net involved they really don't have much of a profit margin and xmas stockings which I've made for my own kids. I think I may have to pull out my sewing machine and have a look at making fabric party bags or bunting, I'm sure they won't be too hard to make.
I must write my dooyoo reviews tonight, my target of 5 a day really is slipping but at least all of my ebay listings have bids apart from 1 ... going to list a couple of extra things tonight, especially as it's approaching payday for a lot of people.
May even relist my shoes that attracted the weird attentionSealed Pot Challenge Member 1273VSP 2011 Member 92 - 723.070
