  • rictus - hi

creditcrunch - if all goes pear shaped, try and get at least one listing on ebay. It makes it easier to come back to tomorrow - less daunting. But I hope you get to put quite a few on tonight !

paulabear - I love cutting up magazines - I am envious now !

Amber - were you serious about needing ideas? I thought you were joking !

Do you want the famous 101 questions or just a gentle coersion?

If you sell mountains of items a week you will get reduced postage. This is how bigger companies manage on amazon to sell for small amounts. Plus its all swings and roundabouts - some go cheap some go for more.

Dont try and match them. I normally go through the listings and try to be the cheapest of the 100% feedback people. The bigger companies can take ages to send stuff out. I ordered a book before Xmas for 1p + postage and received it on the 11th January. So I always put in my listings next day delivery or swift delivery and therefore people who want it for presents or specific dates may choose me over the cheapest option.

Also bear in mind the cheaper options will sell and at some stage you may become the cheapest !

I sold something on play.com the other day and I was £5 more expensive than everyone else - dont understand it !!

woohoo another £10 cleaning and the possibility of a wedding cake - weyhey loadsa dosh.

the reason i started this challenge is basically as it says "skintbint" o/h's wages dropped £500 a month and as you can see from my signature had a time where we lived for our £4000 a year holidays etc and now its time for reality check.

    i am raising £10k by
ebay- anything and everything i can get my hands on
cleaning - picked up a temp cleaning job at £10 per hour - would rather clean somebodys loo for £10p/hr than stand behind a bar cleaning upp puke for NMW
cakes - non profit making of course as its only a hobby for "friends"
and have increased my hours at work so am back full time for a wee while - yes it tough going doing all this with two kids, mad spaniel and a o/h who works shifts but its worth the sacrafice.
i may do some other things it really just depends what comes my way -got a txt at teatime wondering if i knew anybody who would deliver leaflets - as if i would know anybody:rotfl:its amazing what actually is out there -probably always been there but am now just more aware of it
the only time i have done anything like this is i had a rather unsuccesful antiques stall for about a year but time was an issue so no money made there.
