something on the up your income board today... they are recruiting at the moment/..... how were they to work for???
They're just out for themselves really, but if you make your targets and fit in you can do quite well. There is the possibility of progression but you have to be the right sort of person, thick skinned and not care too much about the customer but more about meeting your targets. I very rarely met targets as I wouldn't push people and then I had computer problems so ended up leaving.0 -

I don't earn very much, it's not difficult for a guy to earn more than me and kinda worrying if he earns less tbh :rotfl:

Munchki - I thought I would never get anywhere with my life, and now here I am, having just celebrated 3 years since my move to Spain, now renting my own little flat and supporting myself. Yes, things are not perfect, but I've achieved so much I never thought possible.0

I have been told that it can also take at least 6 weeks to even start with them. Dont know if it is true or not but what a long time, especially when you dont have 6 weeks!
They'll be a training program which lasted about 4 weeks when I did it, but I think they have condensed it since then. You do get paid for training and it's just a matter of when they next run one, when I was working for them it seemed like a new one started every week or so. But it's vital, if you do start work with them, that you get you CRB check done as soon as possible as you can't go on live calls without it.
It's quite easy to get a job with them when they're recruiting, which they haven't been for a while, and the hours suited me as I have kids and it was at home. If you are a very chatty person who'll talk to anyone, you'll find the job really easy.....I'm a miserable old moo, so I found it quite difficult and didn't meet my targets but I was helped rather than given the push.

Chin up! Things will come right eventually! You just have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and try again, and if you start to feel a bit down, come here, works for me! Sounds to be like you need a big hug, a box of chocs and a bottle of plonk! Big hugs coming from me!turn £100 into £10000 in 2010 member #16 £567.68/£10,000 -I'm a wiggly worm, I'm a wiggly worm, how do you do, I love you, I'm wiggly worm!0

Munchki - I know how you feel, I have been looking for jobs incase my present employer doesn't let me go PT (which isn't looking likely - have made OH chase up my team leader as we both work in the sam department lol) and there is **** all going in my area. I need a weekend and/or evening job but theres none!! Not even any bar work!!! Applied for one job but I have't heard back yet, checking online my status is showing as "application received" Grrr.
Have done 2 reveiws on Dooyoo so thats good.
Need to phone this place to pay a deposit to book my place on the course, CBA TBH but I know I should. £20 for 2 hours training  but that cash is deducted of the kit I suppose.

Hi All
I am a bit of a lurker (ooh that doesn't sound quite right) anyway I am not officially joining the challenge just doing a bit here and there.
I have reading a few of your threads about trying to get work and having trouble with childcare costs. Have any of you thought of being a childminder it can be quite lucrative. If you contact your local council's early years department they can give you advice. I work for a company which trains people in childcare and we get lots of students which get burseries from the council to pay for their training etc. But you can start up without qualifications but I do know you have to comply with some rules but it might be worth looking at.0
