Oooh I've found a good seller on eBay who is selling massage beds on eBay (can also use for facials, waxing etc) but I'm struggling to make myself buy it. I know I've made the money by selling stuff on eBay.

If I charge £10 a massage (and make it clear I am only a student etc) I could make my money back in 6 clients, oh I don't know.

Someone make the decision for me :rotfl:

    PS tomorrow's payday!

Just do it!!! you know it is the right thing to do lo :rotfl:

wanted to reply on the wedding jewelery, i got married 7yrs ago now! but ebay would have been the last place i'd thought of for it. i went to good old argos

anyway if i had come across it while looking for say invites (something i would try ebay for) then i'd have been tempted if i saw something pretty.

have you tried a diff catergory? i know its naughty but i'd try invites.

deff try tiaras i wore one and it wasn't cheap! only made of some rubbish metal too.

i don't think jewelery is top of a brides priorities sp? the tiara deff is or those clips to hold the veil on?

i think what i am trying to say is they wont go looking for it needs to get seen for bride to say 'ooh that looks nice' impulse buy maybe?

    hths

ohh an idea special cravats (whatever they are) with some sort of pretty stone in?

Ooh, now i thought of something like this earlier today, finding stuff that you might like while looking for other things...that was it! I searched 'Star Wars Millenium Falcon' and found someone selling canvas prints of a picture of said product, quite a few of them had sold and I bet people found them while looking for the toy itself and thought ooh what a good idea for my child's room, now how could you make that work for you, hmmm...
maybe somehow tie in the word 'invitation' with a general description of your site? or else other words that get searched for? I'm married but never did all the invite/jewellery thing, was a very small 'do'...

Now can I please ask for some encouragement from someone? :o My Ebay things aren't doing well - no watchers on most - and I'm doubting my business skills a bit. Could it be because it's the end of the month? Can't stop checking the 'selling' bit lol...
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

  • i too am qualified in reflexology and head massage !

I read a report a few months ago that big businesses were looking into offering massage/head massage or reflexology to employees in break times as a way to reduce stress and sick days.

You could always contact some call centres and see if they would let you set up in a room - either charge customer, or business per day. Or offer 50% to Haiti as a way to get free advertising through the business. Ooh, that sounded harsh - I dont mean use charity as a way of getting money, more as a way of generating initial interest and helping yourself and others at the same time - does that make any sense???

moneymabel - I do remember someone offering parties for the bridal team - they can try on dresses and drink some wine and persue shoe catalogues, get make overs, etc.. I think your jewellery would work well in these settings.

Can you enrol a friend to do the face to face bit? Someone said on the previous thread recognise your weaknesses and use other people to fill in these weak bits and you can then in turn do this for someone else with your strengths.

natnat - well done - you should be proud of yourself

nikki - yes your course will prove invaluable so keep going. And I vote for buying the table. Will it fit in your car? I take it you have a car? Or do you mean doing it from home?

They know your watching, that's why there not selling! Things will pick up once people have got bills etc out the way. I've only have 1 eBay so far this year, although i've only got round to listing 5 things, only another million things to list :rotfl:

Thanks Paula-thats a good idea-my list is getting longer! I have actually been on my site and added a bit of blurb to the prom section (by myself...without breaking it!!!) I will make up some designs in other colours so I can add photos to it...well perhaps not me..I'll probably break it again!

I'm doing the same-I seem to flit from here to my ebay selling page, scrutinising for watchers! I'm not having much luck on there at the mo although I have found that second hand stuff goes much better than the stuff i bought to resell . It's not just you- I think most people are having a slow time on there at the mo..hopefully things will pick up soon.

Moneymabel - I adore your Memory Charms, they're gorgeous and what a fab concept! I was wondering whether you could expand upon these - linking perhaps with your prom market - and make them into friendship charms. The idea being that if there are a group of four friends, for example, each buys an identical necklace to keep forever comprising of a bead from each person's birthstone. This way as well you'd be looking at selling about four at a time. On that note, i'd like to buy one please for my friend's 30th birthday. There were 5 of us who met at University (covers 4 stones as 2 were born in same month) and i know my friend would love the sentiment behind it, as well as the gorgeous design. I'll work my way through your checkout now x
    Just £10,852.28p to go...

    Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
    And then do it.

I'm doing this challenge to make money to be able to stretch finances longer (and to clear clutter from house, not that there is much anyway)
