Quick question about websites.
Does anyone know a way of making a goodlooking directory style website thats quick and easy and doesn't involve paying a fortune.
Want to be be to offer a basic listing, a paid for premium listing and a have your own page on our site type thing.
Also want to be able to offer a choose which sort of listing you want and pay by paypal option and possibly the option of having space on premium listings to play and buy mp3 tracks.
Ok thats quite a Large ask but hoping there is a way somewhere out there.

Jo let me have a think on this and the best way to do it as I have actually done something similiar to this in the past and was thinking about it again, but dont have the time at the moment! Am happy to help you etc as what you are trying to do is a bit complicated due to the auto payments etc but there area ways around it!I am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody! Louis L'Amour0 -

I assumed we would pop over to bing0's for ideas and serious stuff, and pop into here for chat, thus all being one big family but with different needs. If people want this to be for all ideas and chat, do you want me to rename it? The title of the thread was just a childish kneejerk reaction to the other titled thread.
Advice peopleI really hope and want it to stay what it had evolved to be IDEAS and CHAT.
I am fully with anyone who is wanting to keep this thread the same as the others, am a bit sorry I missed all the erm fun in the last day or so ... will have to not go out for the night next time!! Ideas and chat PLEASE!! Hehe.
But I have just read through 5 pages of this and it is already settled back into the thread I know and love...without this thread, the awesome ideas, support, encouragement, and laughs I would have no where near the absolute belief that I am going to DO THIS THING!!
Anyway, am happy to say my online sales droop has picked up in the last two days and have sold 10 odd things ... so am getting a bit of a buzz right now ... and a bit of confidence too ..."Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without!!"Nov NSD: ?/30 Nov Make 10 Day ?/300Get Rid Of Debt: ?/2000 !! :mad:0 -

Munchki,
thats really kind.
dh started working on it with joomla but he hasn't used it before and It is so time consuming BUT it does seem to have add ons available for the stuff we want to do.
Just thought it was worth an ask around to see if there were any slightly more off the peg solutions that we could customise.“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

Morning !!!!!
My advice for today would be for people to browse through the whole of MSE. There are some fantastic forums, lots of advice and some interesting [STRIKE]arguments[/STRIKE] disagreements. I spoke to some long time MSErs on facebook last night and they didnt even know there was a debt free wannabee forum.
Competitions, low spend freebies, no spend freebies, heads up on Tesco misprices, sale items that are gonna sell out fast, techincal advise, old style cooking and cleaning to help people save pennies, relationship advice, wedding advice, ideas for jobs and extra income, mortgage deals, gas and electric deals....... the list goes on.
So if you are at work, or watching This Morning (not me, honest, although Densie looks lovely today) then grab a cuppa and have a magical mystery tour through MSE - be prepared to laugh, cry, gasp and furiously scribble things down.
If you spend one hour reading through, and get one idea or learn one new thing, then life has gotta be good.

Love the idea of working out what we are all doing. Perhaps people closely linked could do banners on each others websites ?
For exmaple, wedding jewellery could link into photo frames or handmade cards, favors, florists, wedding cars, photographers, portraits, cakes etc... and vice versa
