nixinixi - if you have any technical problems with your SA then drop me a PM - chances are I would miss a post. Will be at college after 6pm but hopefully be able to help.

    My commitments for this week:

Read up on matched betting - AGAIN!
Find more [STRIKE]tat[/STRIKE] valuables to put on eBay
Find the best place to sell my old engagment ring, its only a J so quite light, white gold too.
Remember to look out my road tax stamps as tax is up at the end of February (not moneymaking but hopefully I wont do what I done last year and remember it was due 20 minutes before the post office closed )

BTW I treated myself to new clothes today and I felt so bad spending money, it was like I could be putting this in my virtual pot :rotfl:In my defense though I did use my student discount (oh I can add £2.40 to my total!!) and I bought the baby some more T-shirts (one says "too cool to drool" so cute :rotfl:)

I suppose if I'm selling my old clothes then I will need some new ones, either that I'm gonna get cold!!

Thank you - the offer is much appreciated!!

Love the 'too cool to drool!' loL!!:rotfl:

What are your skills? I don't really have any- I am racking my brains but nothing springs to mind
What do you think are the most profitable skills ( if you had the pick of all jobs and contacts)?N/A
What are your hobbies?I like to read
How much time do you have available? When the kids are at school and when they are in bed

Is the premise of the game to make money from the initial £100, ie only using that £100 or can we save from our income and add it in?

    About me:
I'm 20 years old, work part time, plan on going university AND get married this year. I have a lovely girlfriend who I've been seeing for two years, and we want to take our relationship to the next stage..

My problem with money is, I have no idea where it goes. I earnt about £450 a month for a year, and at the end of the year my balance was a whopping £100. Since then, me and my other half decided if we want to move in for uni and then get married we need to save up, so that's the goal.

I started in December and here are the results:
Total Balance before my Nov Paycheque: £110
Total Balance before my Dec Paycheque: £105
    Decided I need to save
Total Balance before my Jan Paycheque: £250 :T (saved)
Total Balance Current: £690 (going well)

I got about £500 coming in from selling gifted contract phones and cashback, and am in no debt.

What I want to do in the future:
I love the area of Health & Fitness and I want to look buildinga website and a business plan, and also my body, in the next 6 months and then start taking people on for weight training/fitness lessons at a gym.

I don't want to work for somebody, I want to market my business and see what happens. I have no fitness qualifications, so I'd have to work around that. Most people quit within 2 months so if I can 'trap' people in some sort of 6 month/1 year contract I'd be laughing and maybe that'll motivate them to get off their !!!!!!. My aim is to help people, the money is the icing on the top.

    Goals for Feb:

-Get the money for the items I'm selling in to my account
-Find a cheap Gym and begin workout schedule
    -Carry on Saving
    -Read "Think and Grow Rich"
-Learn how to create a website

    :-)

I don't think my OH would be too pleased about it- he's not controlling or anything, and he's always said he would support me in anything I wanted to do but I think he would draw the line at that.
Thanks for the suggestion though x

  • Hello shakey - what a post - wow !!

All the information us vultures need in one easy read. Love it :D

Welcome to the thread. I think you have the right mindset for this, and the best motivation in the world.

I would definitely recommend the Think and Grow Rich book - it sounds like a dodgy scheme and people are put off it but it changed my life !
