    my commitments:

submit my tax returns (better late than never!)
brainstorm/pyshco wall all my thoughts and ideas, and make/research plans!
sort more items for ebay ready for listing next Sunday (I have decided that I will try and list some items every sunday on a 7 day listing!!)
total Januarys total (and PM to MMTWGR) and decide Februarys target!!

hopefully I will achieve more, as well as running a house and looking after two small kiddiwinks!, but if that is all I get done I will be happy!

    Thank you Hales!

  • Right, so far I have won £70 on Bingo Britain, and have had £21 from Quidco paid into my account so £91 into the challenge.
I also have 17 items listed on Ebay with 7 of them with bids at the moment. They all have at least 3 days left to run though so fingers crossed there.
I am also taking part in the virtual sealed pot challenge which has £15.15 in at the moment so I am going to include that too, so £106.15 is my total now.

I am however feeling a bit useless at the moment because I can't seem to get a job, I'm not arty at all so can't make anything to sell, I just don't know which direction to take.
I am thinking of maybe going back to college and retraining but I really don't know what course to take; also it won't be until September because thats when the new courses will start.
Sorry for rambling, I'm on a bit of a downer at the moment and can't seem to see any way out of it.

Hi everyone :) have skimmed the last three pages with tired tired eyes and have got to say I dodn't finish my commitments either; I did three of them, two Dooyoo reviews and I made a 'thing', but I haven't had chance to concentrate on Helium writing although I did do some rating which is good too : )
I don't know what I'm meant to count as my total for the month; I've definitely made my £100 back, as well as having lots of stuff still to Ebay (another fail lol, but my house is clean and my kids are bathed...) but the best thing I think I've achieved is that I have materials to make things with, and that's what I want to do.
February's challenge is to get enough stock together to set up a shop on...Etsy? Folksy? I'm not sure which would be best? - and to continue with the buying and selling inbetween. I've won £70 so far on BB, can't believe it! Now we need another site with a similar offer for next month :)
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

What do you do in your day job?
    What are your skills?
What do you think are the most profitable skills ( if you had the pick of all jobs and contacts)?
    What are your hobbies?
How much time do you have available?

Feel bad that I haven't offered to help out more.....but honestly not sure I could take it on at the moment as I am struggling to get all my own jobs done, hoping that will settle down a little in Feb.

I am willing to help though so please consider me a backup option!!!!

On thta note I better go to bed as got to get up and going again in the morning....can you believe it will not only be another week but also February......please say it isn't just me that thinks this year is whizzing past!!

Folksy is cheaper, and easier to make sales on. Etsy has more traffic passing through, but is US and in dollars, and there are so many sellers you need to relist several times a day or do serious promotion...I'd start with Folksy, but of course it's up to you :)

nixinixi - if you have any technical problems with your SA then drop me a PM - chances are I would miss a post. Will be at college after 6pm but hopefully be able to help.

    My commitments for this week:

Read up on matched betting - AGAIN!
Find more [STRIKE]tat[/STRIKE] valuables to put on eBay
Find the best place to sell my old engagment ring, its only a J so quite light, white gold too.
Remember to look out my road tax stamps as tax is up at the end of February (not moneymaking but hopefully I wont do what I done last year and remember it was due 20 minutes before the post office closed )

BTW I treated myself to new clothes today and I felt so bad spending money, it was like I could be putting this in my virtual pot :rotfl:In my defense though I did use my student discount (oh I can add £2.40 to my total!!) and I bought the baby some more T-shirts (one says "too cool to drool" so cute :rotfl:)

I suppose if I'm selling my old clothes then I will need some new ones, either that I'm gonna get cold!!

Brilliant advice, thank you Saucy! I'm all excited now that I've given myself a time limit :)

  • Right, I have delcared I am competitive so lets see if I can get through this post without seeming overly competitive

First totals for Jan are on the front post. Are you including the £100 stake in your totals? Does it matter if we are all doing it differently? I'm not offering a diamante carriage clock for the winner so I guess it doesnt really matter.

    Just curious :D

I'll go first. I have a spreadsheet of all sales, cost price, fees, postal costs etc.. and then obviously running profit. I put the profit aside straight away so the initial cost goes back through the buying system if you see what I mean. So my total doesnt include stock or any of the initial float money.
Am I doing it wrong ?
    VR repayment  £404  £156.02 PAID
    Airpods repayment £249 £185 £75.90 PAID
    Airpods repayment £144 £99.01 PAID

    Capital One £1400
