Or as in my case, just being a bit pants :rotfl:
  • Well, we are officially dribblers. Not content with having a hugely long and fast paced thread, the first post is now officially too long !

So I cant update the links from joeygrey, or put the current totals on the first post.

What shall I take out of the first post ? I tried a combination of things but it still said I was 300 characters over, and we havent had the majority of end of month totals yet !

Just a thought MoneyMabel having been reading throught the posts and listen to people gush about your jewellery etc and I have seen it too, and I thought, lots of people say they would buy it IF they were getting married etc ... can't you go and hang out on wedding related forums/ boards etc and chat every now and then, would be good market research in a way, and if people are discussing jewellery you could sort of self advertise a bit, not in an obvious way ... just I am using this site ... the stuff looks fantastic etc? Does that sound dodgy? I would so do it ...

Just an idea :o) Off to the gym,

Only received 2 PMs with totals. And only 2 people have expressed interest in seeing totals and top 5. So I am thinking that perhaps it isnt a huge issue for people to compare totals. I will reevaluate that if more people PM - maybe people read during working hours?

I can do a weekly commitment board if people want - up to you. It was just a trial to see if it motivated anyone and gave them a focus. Any updates for the weekend tasks people committed to ?

Also, I was thinking about a monthly focus. My proposal would be to divide into sub groups. So pick one of 4 options for example 1) matched betting 2) surveys and daily clicks 3) bingo 4) blogging. You pick one of these things and go hell for leather in February to learn all about it and give it a go and get better at it. Then March you choose something else, April something else etc.. until you have done all you wanted to do. So by beginning of June in theory you would be listing on ebay ( January focus) doing matched betting, surveys, blogging and bingo and it would all seem like second nature by then.

Thoughts welcome - I dont take offense easily :p

Me personally; I would feel a bit dismayed by other peoples' results at the minute, as I haven't made that much! I think you've all managed to get this thread completely right - ideas and help for people :) don't think we need to stress about totals, even as far as the year goes, as for some people this will be an ongoing thing; I know it will for me!

I love the idea of focusing on a chosen subject, as well as your personal project, that's brilliant - think it'll also be good for people to push themselves outside their comfort zone. Can get a kick up the bum to do it from everyone else/advice and experience :T
I need to be more proactive for February. In fact I might put that in my signature :D

Haven't got a clue but won £50 the first time and £20 the next :D

-think you're just as likely as everyone else to win a couple of times over the 30 days, just don't get your hopes up and it'll be a nice surprise if you do!

    Hi,

My commitments for this week are:-

    1. Check out the competition and their prices. Web based and local.
    2. Meet up/make appointments with two business owners for market research
    3. Change mobile contract
    4. Organise for business line to be installed at home

My focus for the month will be to set up a basic website/blog, and understand AdSense.

    Thanks everyone.
