Right I have the following:- supply a wedding dress shop with tiaras/hairpins and have my business cards in there Don't just limit yourself to bridal stuff. Get yourself into the prom shops and advertise as bridal and prom tiaras. There is a fortune to be made there as nobody is as demanding or as picky as teenage girls...except teenage boys that is.
- Website that does the same but v little custom so i took it down. Have mega trouble with pictures.
- Blog for wedding jewellery keep forgetting to update because not sure what to actually say - Add bits about your and your friends love/sex life. Ala Sex in the City. Who doesn't want to have the social life/friendships/wardrobes of those girls. Make your blog a work of fiction if need be - make it sexy, exciting and relatable. People will come back begging for more.
- Blog that I post recepies i have created on (possible money maker??)
- A heap of stuff for ebay but no motivation to list. I hate listing too...so I promise myself I will list at least three items a day. I always end up listing more, but if you really can't be bothered 3 items a day...is 21 a week and only takes twenty mins to do.
- keep threatening to look at the bingo sites but never have time The bingo sites are a doddle, you just chose your cards and leave the auto dab to do the work. You really don't have anything to do. Any winnings are put automatically into your bingo account awaiting withdrawal. I don't even watch the bingo, I pre-buy my cards and either surf the net or while they play or check my account later. You don't have to be in the room to still be playing your cards.

OK, I'm officially turning in for the month. What a start everyone's made - well done us!!!
My January total breaks down as:
Selling new stuff -£20.60
Selling old stuff £520.57
Mystery Shopping £10.00
Bingo/Roulette/Black Jack £281.78
Which makes a January total of £791.75 :j
With my minus £20.60 I have loads of stock to sell next month and in the summer so I'm not bothered about that. Plus I still have loads of old stuff to sell so if I can make this much every month my annual total will be £9501!!!
Just by putting our minds (and a little effort) to it......................0 -
Hi everyone - I finally caught up with the thread! You're all doing so well - I've got to come up with something other than Ebaying my junk!
January turned out to be a good ebaying month for me surprisingly - was going to post my January total - but haven't got it yet - someone is going to pay me by echeque through paypal and it's going to take until 9th February to clear! :eek:Been doing ebay on and off for a few months now but never had this happen before! Not good.
Thought you may all like to know, I also got charged for listing 4 items on 17th Jan (free listing day) - queried it with ebay support and it turns out that because I ticked these 4 items in my "Unsold" list and then clicked "relist" that's considered "Bulk listing" (I know that actual Turbolisting is never free) which was news to me. They were extremely polite and helpful, explained all and refunded me the listing charges - I know - only 60p but it's the principle of the thing!
Good old Ebay (for once).:rotfl:0 -
Yup, I'm negative too. I have taken in all of about £25.50 (sold 2 things on ebay, one thing privately and a card and necklace on Folksy) and have spent nearly £100 on supplies, but I'm chilled as I'm building up stock and coming up with ideas. I'm looking on it as a marathon rather than a sprint.0

Only received 2 PMs with totals. And only 2 people have expressed interest in seeing totals and top 5. So I am thinking that perhaps it isnt a huge issue for people to compare totals. I will reevaluate that if more people PM - maybe people read during working hours?
I can do a weekly commitment board if people want - up to you. It was just a trial to see if it motivated anyone and gave them a focus. Any updates for the weekend tasks people committed to ?
Also, I was thinking about a monthly focus. My proposal would be to divide into sub groups. So pick one of 4 options for example 1) matched betting 2) surveys and daily clicks 3) bingo 4) blogging. You pick one of these things and go hell for leather in February to learn all about it and give it a go and get better at it. Then March you choose something else, April something else etc.. until you have done all you wanted to do. So by beginning of June in theory you would be listing on ebay ( January focus) doing matched betting, surveys, blogging and bingo and it would all seem like second nature by then.

may I ask for a little help please? I really could use a bit of inspiration. I really seem much better at pitching in and helping others and I suppose am a bit lost at the moment. I have spent the entire day thinking about this and I really dont know which direction to go. I also have a lot on my plate on top of this i.e. desperately trying to find work, trying to launch my own thing and other bits. I am also very bad at asking for help!
I have followed each of you for the month and am really really impressed and I know i have it inside me as I am rather stubborn and a fighter. I just really dont know which way to go. I also have a very very tight budget to the extreme
Ebay - I really don't have a lot to sell on these days, so not sure.
Self Employed - love what I do, just struggling to get clients at the mo, but working on that
I would be very interested to know what kind of things have sold really well for you all, or other thoughts you might have. I of course respect the fact that some things are a bit hush hush and that is ok.
I guess what I am trying to say with this very long dribble is that I can be inspiring but now I must admit, I need a bit of inspiration!!
Please forgive the long missive, really do have a lot of thoughts running through my head today!
PS: Sinead, I have one logo for you whenever you are ready. Working on the otherI am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody! Louis L'Amour0
