Your son will learn from you that strong women look out for their kids and teach them to be good people. You don't need a penis to teach him that.

    :T:T:T:T

Beenie, he's an !!!!!!! who wants somewhere to live. And thinks you will be vulnerable easy prey. I second, third, forth the go out all day advice.

Also Elle sorry your OH has upset you .And Happy Belated Birthday wishes. Most men just don't have a clue.

Its my birthday on Saturday, but i don't hold out much hope, never do. Joe thought it was my birthday last Saturday, and woke me up with a kiss saying Happy Birthday Mummy - I'll settle for that again.

Hugs to Dontknowanymore. Hope you manage to get to live in the place you want in a few months, and all this can be put behind you.

Knackered again. Alex awake lots in the night for loooong periods of time. Can you believe that Alex woke OH up at 6.30 yesterday morning when he was doing his wide away talkey thing. OH thought he had been kept awake ALL NIGHT so booked half a day and came home at 1.30pm. And i was the one who had been up and down all night as usual. He said how did I know that he hadn't been awake most of the night too. Because you were" snoring" all night, you tit.

Sami, a friend said that they don't go alone with the leaders until they're in proper Scouts, but he'd be a Beaver so parents all go too. But i'm sure i won't be the only single parent and with a younger baby. I wouldn't have a clue about camping :o

Thanks everyone, i feel better just to have moaned out loud, at least it's out of my system for before i meet Susan on Thursday or else i'd have been bending her ear about it all too :D

Doubt he'd come on Weds but if he does i'll probably let him see Amber, i feel stronger about handling him already thanks to you lot. I won't be leaving him in my house while i pick Cameron and his friend up from school or anything so he'd better go and sweet talk his ex wife too  Not gonna put anymore thought into it cos i am 99% sure he won't come at all.

Beenie, your ex is a tit.

Elle, I'm sorry yours is being such a willy head - is there any chance he'll figure it out?

Sorry, just skimmed over stuff as on way out. Will catch up later.

Trying not to offend today but........Beenie - you don't need us to tell you what a loser he is. You are forever telling us that! It's better for Cam and Amber to have no man in their life than a junkie scumbag. You will meet someone one day who will treat you the way you deserve to be treated, but you won't meet them if you are with him. You will have no self worth if you take him back and no confidence to make new friends and meet someone new. Don't let him into your life. If he says he is coming, just tell him NO. You don't have to say yes to his requests. He has no rights. And he probably won't turn up anyway and you will be upset all over again. Keep moving forward and don't look back. Change your number and cut him out of your life completely. Your kids are the most important people to you. He means nothing, and it's his own doing.
I am not anti-drugs by the way, but there is no way I would want a heroin addict to have any involvement with my kids. If he gets clean and builds a new life for himself and proves to you that he has changed, then that's different, but he has proven nothing and is trying to lay a guilt trip on you. Please end it forever!!! I wish you stayed nearer me. x

On a brighter note, Squishy - I just got a Taggie Doll through the post too. I actually ordered a Taggie blanket the other day from Jojo Maman Bebe, and thought they had sent the wrong thing for a minute! Holly is chewing it to death already. x

I'm away now. There is steam coming from my keyboard due to my superspeedy rant.....!
  • I think perhaps I think a bit different to the majority, but I'd allow supervised access, if he is clean and sober at the time. I think it is also worth remembering that addicts can and do recover, and can be fantastic parents when they are clean.

I agree that if he cleans up he could prove everyone wrong, but I don't agree about access until he is clean. And also committed. He has said time and again that he is coming and hasn't turned up. That's messing the kids around and I don't agree with that. The kids come first.

Agreed. Him arranging access and letting them down is far worse than him cutting all contact.
