Today I refrained from buying this in pink floral and the house print and this dress (so !!!!ed they have put a jacket over it here, its stunning in real life) and these lovely sun dresses and this cos its so funky.

Instead I went to H&M and got 2 pairs of shorts and some iron on badges for Christopher, a dress and a skirt for Amber for £13

Then came home and realised that it's not council tax free month this month, it's March and April. So me=!!!!.

My Mum was pretty dire at expressing any emotion other than disgust... I very much remember her scrunching her face up at me and telling me how vile I was... And turning her head away when I went to give her a good night kiss once...

She told me she loved me once, when her and my Dad were getting divorced and she realised that, despite her attempts at damage limitation before the event, we were all firmly in camp Dad (sorry Em, that just made me think of you... Can't think why ) Anyway, she said she loved us all but it was such a standard phrase and devoid of emotion, I didn't actually believe her... Now, when she visits, she always goes in for a kiss as she leaves... I always turn my head and don't reciprocate...

I tell my children I love them alllllllllllllllllllllllll the time... We're a very loving family really... I think Caitlyn's starting to show her love already, when I'm holding her she rests her head against me and I always say "aww, loves for Mommy" she does it more and more every day... And does it to hubby too now

I worry about that. Is your mum aware of having favourites? My mum told me that one of my brothers said she didn't like me and him and that the other two were her favourites but she has no idea why he would think that and thinks he is just making it up.

Afternoon,

GTT all done and all I've done since is eat!

Katie is very affection, she loves her group hugs and kisses.

When I was making her dinner, DH had hold of her and she lent forward and cuddled me and stayed like that the whole time I was sorting her food out!

There are extra cuddles for her today as she fell downstairs this morning top to bottom, the collided with the airer that was at the bottom of the stair which was in front of the glass door! The look of sheer terror on her face was horrible and even worse I froze for a second before I could do anything.

I was grateful for the breastfeeding as this is the only thing that calmed her down - I wouldn't normally but it was extraordinary circumstances.

I'm just off to join the very bad mummies club.

Can I admit something and not be bashed for it? I worry about how I am with DS1. He annoys me, he's always kissing me and I have to try not to cringe when he does it. I love him to bits but he is just too kissy-huggy for me. Probably all he is doing is seeking out attention from me but I'm really... stunted emotionally with him. Since he hit about 6 years old I just haven't known how to be close to him. He's just a normal annoying 8 year old who acts silly but I just can't relax with him. I feel so guilty about it too. I try to spend time with him reading or playing but can only do it for so long. He's really soft hearted and it must break his heart too.

*runs away and hides in a corner*

BM *hugs* and i hope your ok cant really add much to whats already been said but i feel that i know where your coming from. i was left with my sister when she was a babay and looked after her a lot, she even slept with me! i fell pregnant at 17 and like you didnt really have a lot of support. My mum has never watch the kids for me and always has something else on?
whoever it was that said about sounding like your mum? i had this a few weeks ago and it scared the life out of me! we are a loving family and although the bigger ones dont show it as much you can always get a cuddle if asked and they are alkways cuddling the little ones! i tell the kids i love them etc as i didnt really have that when i was growing up.

ok i need help! how do you get double sided foam tape off the wall? i have a house inspection tom and some little monster has put some on the wall and peeled part of it off. i have tried scraping it with my nail but it wont budge!!!

Tia - no bashing just a gentle squeeze ()

My family isn't into kissing and hugging each other, so I was a big shock when I met DH's family for the first time I was overwhelmed by the hugging and kissing, still am tbh.
