Glam have you tried stuff he can hold himself my little man loves a bit of toast in the morning and often has steamed carrot sticks and other veggies. As a side point I even give him big raw lumps of carrot straight out the fridge when he is teething he obviously cant eat those yet but he seems to get some relief from gumming them :-)

not tried toast yet cos of the gluten thing :o

everything goes in his mouth so am sure the veg wouldn't be a problem, I'll make some in a bit. he likes to feed himself with the spoon but he ends up with more on him & me! :rotfl:

Sparkle, that's quite enough for one day - make dinner and call it a productive day :)

Your dinner sounds nommy BTW. So does Glam's lunch - I'm currently eating a halfway-through-my-big-project cake. Om nom nom.

I'm enjoying having a weekly list. I get all the small stuff done early in the week and so the big stuff which would normally stress me out is sped up by my strikethrough lust and desire to get everything crossed off. There are only three things left on my list and all can be done by the end of tomorrow, leaving me the weekend free to add stuff or just bask in my big list.

Bubs likes to try and feed himself too but he hasnt got the knack yet of not shoving the spoon down his throat strange when he manages his food quite well and doesnt choke himself on that. I often wonder weather he has eaten more or if he is wearing most of it to ;-)

Not him! and it's certainly not me!
(I actually think it could be the veg in the steamer!) :o

Anyone got any experience of Tongue Tie?

My friends LO had it picked up ay 6w check but as he was FF they said it was OK (our other friends LO had it but cos she was BF they cut it).
The poor little lad is now struggling to latch on to his bottle - it's taking my friend 2 hours to get him to take it but he is starving and as soon as he takes it he downs 8ozs.
She's tried all different feeding positions, tried rubbing a dab of teething gel or Infacol on the teat and various other things but now has to wait 2 weeks to see a Paediatrician.

wondered if anyone had any advice :)

I seem to remember a little girl my mum used to childmind for had this and her mum got special teats / bottles for her to use, other than that sorry Glam I dont have a clue. Poor little baby though, must be so distressing for mum too.
