oh that reminds me, Has anyone had trouble/success returning faulty stuff to next?

I don't think so. I returned a few things because they were faulty and pointed out that this amount of stuff doesn't give me confidence to keep shopping. They were fine about it, although wouldn't refund money direct but onto my Next account

I can't understand anyone being jealous of being a size six - it's pants! I don't look paticularly healthy on it, I'm fed up of getting asked if I'm ill and fed up of "just eat more" comments..

Assuming the average is a size 14, noone would say they were jealous of someone who's a size 22 (four sizes the other way of a 14, iyswim) or tell them to "just eat less" with such flippancy, would they?

I used to hate that too. "Just eat more" when I was eating constantly but my intake couldn't keep up with my metabolism.
Molly is just fine as she is SS - I have a sharp stick to poke anybody who says otherwise in the eye with if you want it (and you are bored of setting people alight ;))
Actually, I always think that you are quite like me :o and I think this morning I have realised why!!! You have my initials :o I wrote down an action for myself in my meeting this morning and when I looked at it I thought 'why has sugarspun got to contact that MD' :o :rotfl:

:rotfl: Actually today I had to contact an MS. It's just a typo away ;)
I'd like to be the sort of mummy you are. You always strike me as being very sensible and practical and not worrying over the small things while managing to sift out the things that should be worried about.

Molly's wonderful, and the doctor's a cluckwit. He checked in her nappy, and she has a bit of redness in her folds at the top of her legs that were clearly full of nappy cream. He suggested we use nappy cream for the redness. And then he commented that she never seems to laugh. She laughs all the time, moron, she just hates you because you smell bad and stick her with needles.

    YAY FOR POPPIE!!!

Weezl - I hope Fergie is OK, hypothetically speaking of course
Have my fairies arrived yet? They seem to be very slow!

Just done a mammoth fruit and veg shop! Plan is to cook and puree it all seperately and then mix and match at each meal. He has mango for lunch today.

When should you start introducing small lumps?

Jack has been on food for 6 weeks now and will be 6 months in 2 weeks time () have been making his food progressivle thicker but don't want to puree all the above food and then realise I should have maybe made some lumpy.

    ...
just you mentioned yoghurt which reminded me :)
The peter kay thing is if I can get Ed to eat/drink things to keep him happy for long enough I can go, I'm not expecting him to drink milk tbh but if he'd eat a yoghurt that would fill his tummy until I got back to feed him :D

So so sooooo glad Poppie is doing well!! :T

Becles That sounds interesting. Do you get enough work?

I tend to just work mornings as my parents both work afternoons, so they look after Charlotte for free in the mornings! But I get enough work to get by.

Weight - I was overweight as a child. Both parents had sweetened coffee, so I just grew up thinking it was normal to have two heaped spoons of sugar in coffee. Biscuit tin came out regular during the day and we always had loads of crisps and fizzy pop. Often meals were sausage and chips, crispy pancakes and chips, fish and chips - you get the idea!

It's only since I've been an adult that I weaned myself off sugar in coffee and drink it with no sugar now. In fact I can't stand it with sugar in! I tend to drink more water than pop now, evening meals are usually made with fresh ingredients, and I try not to snack on crap. I'm pretty good usually but around my period, I could just eat all day and I seriously crave crisps, biscuits and sweets. Once the bleeding stops, I lose my appertite for a week and hardly eat a thing - weird!
Here I go again on my own....

Oh a question I have been meaning to ask, should it be in bold?

Any tips on brushing babies teeth? Lexi is now at a point where she wants to do it and Im really struggling to do it without causing a big scene, which I dont want to do as I dont want it to become a 'thing'

I just give Benjamin his toothbrush to bite on for now. I usually do it whilst he is in his cot because he doesn't sit still anywhere for me :o

What a lovely thing to say, thank you. xx

    Yay Poppie! Go girl!

I'm not a big fan of Next clothes either. I have had some lovely pieces from Ethel Austin (of all places) though. Lots of tat in there but some lovely, well made stuff there too.

Glam the jars get lumpy on the 7mth+ ones but some people star on lumpy from the get go so when ever you feel happy I think, I found it quite difficult to get lumps down Chris after him having purrees for about 2mths previous.
I would make a lumpy pot and a smooth pot and mix them at each meal gradually increasing the amount of lumps. when I say mix though I put a bit of each on the spoon not stirred together so if he got grumpy I'd give a spoon of just smooth to trick him ino being happy again
