    I can't say I've ever checked out the size of the shop staff before buying food anywhere. Do people really do that?

    I must admit I do this when buying clothes from a larger persons clothes shop. I feel more comfortable if the sales assistant is bigger rather than some skinny minnie.

    My DH also says never trust a skinny chef! :D

    <nerd hat>

    Lots of chefs end up bulimic - or start out that way.

    My daughter seems to hate the particular pants I'm wearing. Whenever I put them on she throws up on them.

    I find I'm more cofortable buying from large people, feel they are less likely to judge me for buying my body weight in cakes :o
    I never thought of that. I wonder whether thin people are more likely to or not? I'm fairly thin but because growing up I was thin enough for people to be nasty to me about it and ate so much that people called me greedy I'm well aware that it is not nice to be judged on what you eat or your size and that your size is not necessarily connected to how much you eat so I wouldn't judge someone based on their size or cake purchasing habits. I may not be a representative sample though.

    Did I ever mention the time I went into Evans?. Nobody ever told me it was larger sizes so one day when I was passing it and noticed a sale rack I went in to check it out. As I browsed the sale rack all I could find was at least a size 20 and I suddenly realised that maybe it was a larger size shop. I felt very embarrassed and conspicuous and sidled out hoping nobody had noticed. When I told other people I found out that everyone else except for me knew. :o

    Pancake with cheese and [STRIKE]jam[/STRIKE] sweet chutney and veg on the side? Sweet, savoury, veggie and healthy. Nomnomnom.

    Edit: Susan, the same thing happened to me in Evans, only the shop assistant came over and sneered at me telling me I wasn't the sort of customer they catered for. I assumed they meant young and got really confused and indignant before noticing that I'd not seen anything under a size 16 and sidling out embarrassed.

    :o I have been sort of brainwashed into thinking fat = gross so I would be a little put off being served food by a larger person :o
    They'd have to be pretty massive and a bit sweaty or something to make me not buy it though :p I loves my grub :D
