I know you well enough to know you are lovely and wouldn't hurt anyone. I'm quite sensitive about my weight and wouldn't want you to think I'm gross.
Thank you, I don't think you are gross, I think/know you are lovely

My mother is very much the same way, and she comments on my weight all the time - when Molly was five days old she was commenting that now I wasn't pregnant she'd expect me to be thinner :o

I take it as her self-hatred expressed outwards and ignore it. My biggest concern with heavy people is that if I like them I worry about their health, but if I know they're healthy then their weight isn't going to bother me.
    5 days!!

I agree with your 2nd paragraph totally.
As long as my friends are happy with their weight whatever it is I'm happy.
I just have to ignore the little mum voice in my head.

I try (and succeed mostly) to not think it but as I say I was sort of brainwashed by my mum. For as long as I can remember she has told me n sis that we should never get big like her and constantly reinforced the idea that its a bad thing to be fat.

My mum is exactly the same so I know what you mean.
But i'm genetically different. Mum, and all of the women on her side of the family are 5' nothing and big, my little sister is exactly the same shape. I'm from my dads side, taller and slimmer. Mum has spent her life going to WW or SW and has got down to her 'ideal' weight more times than I can remember, but once she starts eating normally again she goes back to her normal weight.

She always used to tell me she was slim until she had me - but if you look back at photos of her in her teens, she's far from slim. :(

    Clever Poppie :T:T:T

We've been for needles today, and she didn't even cry, my big brave girl.

We also got weighed for the first time since June, 22lbs 3oz or 10.05 kg for the younger mums. MFD do you think Benjamin will beat that?

I asked about the 10-12 month check-up. HV said they're a little bit behind at the moment, but should see her between 2 and 2 1/2!

I'd best not meet up with you then....

Hey, none of that from you! You're coming with me to make sure Sami's not a builder called Dave! :p And to see if we can convince Charlie that Edgar is not called Rhys/Reece ;)

Good thanks! I've been swishing it around ever since  although new girl they have employed I think to cover mat leave of another wasn't very nice, a bit pushy and was rough drying my hair, much prefer the lovely Laura but she did insist on having a baby - how very dare she :p

I suppose if you do have a VBAC and it goes well you could be converted?
I have [STRIKE]lots of[/STRIKE] two needley things coming up :( need a tooth out at some point (see dentist about it on 5th march) thats the worst one and will ask GP about referring me for more skin tag removals once Ed feeding less often/accepting milk from not-a-boob receptacle

Hehe, I was going to ask if you had "swishy hair" cos that's what OH calls it when I can be arsed (woohoo, I said it too!) to wear mine down :)

Don't think I want to try a VBAC, that's my point. Besides, not sure I intend to have more than one more so no need to convert me! ;):p
