Edit: Susan, the same thing happened to me in Evans, only the shop assistant came over and sneered at me telling me I wasn't the sort of customer they catered for. I assumed they meant young and got really confused and indignant before noticing that I'd not seen anything under a size 16 and sidling out embarrassed.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

they were using average looking models (instead of unusually thin ones) in the pictures in the window was meant to give it away
HOW are you supposed to notice?!?!
I'm not so thin people stare and comment any more, but I've been that thin and it was purely metabolic, I out-ate grown men friends and once (after a morning of climbing) caused Pizza Hut to stop bringing vegetarian pizzas to their all you can eat buffet, whereupon I half-emptied one of those vats of pasta.

*goes back to looking at bedroom furnature*0 -
I have been sort of brainwashed into thinking fat = gross so I would be a little put off being served food by a larger person
They'd have to be pretty massive and a bit sweaty or something to make me not buy it thoughI loves my grub

Sorry if I upset you feely
I really didn't intend to upset any one
I try (and succeed mostly) to not think it but as I say I was sort of brainwashed by my mum. For as long as I can remember she has told me n sis that we should never get big like her and constantly reinforced the idea that its a bad thing to be fat.0 -

I can't say I've ever checked out the size of the shop staff before buying food anywhere. Do people really do that?
My boss didnt want me to enploy a 'larger' lady because he said it doesn't promote good health & we are a GP surgery. He said it woul be hypocritical of us to tell people to lose weight when we had big staff which I can understand but that it was a bit harsh.
off to bath, bed Jack then make pancakes and ice my fairy cakes
Get me!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I know you well enough to know you are lovely and wouldn't hurt anyone. I'm quite sensitive about my weight and wouldn't want you to think I'm gross.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

My mother is very much the same way, and she comments on my weight all the time - when Molly was five days old she was commenting that now I wasn't pregnant she'd expect me to be thinner
I take it as her self-hatred expressed outwards and ignore it. My biggest concern with heavy people is that if I like them I worry about their health, but if I know they're healthy then their weight isn't going to bother me.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
