  • I have a DH who only eats peas and carrots!

I've just made sure I've offered Katie a wide variety of vegetables, also he has to have everything I've cooked on his plate whether he eats it or not.

Should be interesting tonight as I've cooked turnips, carrots and spinach.

anything i cook, has to have a good dash of tabasco sauce on it. i swear its cos he smokes, it deadens your tastebuds cos when he gave up for 2 months he said food tasted different. i always tell him to taste the food before he puts tabasco on it. :D

Rhys has just had carrots, broccoli, butternut squash, sweet potato, apple, creamy mash and mince beef in tomato and mascapone sauce for tea. He likes more veg than I do! :o
  • Jillie DH is an ex smoker of 15 years now and I still have to tell him to taste his food before he kills it with his own body weight of salt.

I very rarely add salt to food whilst it cooking now as I don't like salty food and DH would be just having too much salt.

i just remember my mum saying when she stopped smoking (she wasnt a big smoker and infact i can never even picture/remember her smoking) that after a while food tasted very different. around this time we started having more 'foreign food' ie spag bol, home-made pizza etc. before that we were very much a meat and 2 veg family. mum gave upsmoking when she was pg with my sister, 23 years ago...
which reminds me.... my baby sister is 23 this year!!!!!!!!!

right bottles, lunchbox and tea all done. Just waiting on the dishwasher then it's bedtime for J and a final sort out of clothes to put out tomorrow.

I'm going back to work a week earlier than planned - as it's a new job I have to do the Trust 2 day induction which is either the 10th or 24th May.

So I will finish SMP after 38 weeks, then take 5 days bank holiday and be paid everything else I'm due. Does mean I miss out on 2.5 day holiday that I would have accrued for May but hey ho. Also the creche are OK to take Jack a week earlier so that's good.

Very quiet on here today hope everyone is OK.

Weezl - what time is your scan tomorrow?
Is it Celxane injections you are having?
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?
