Or do what I do? Don't Iron :D Comes out in the wind!

SM - True that, we have sticky toffee pudding for errr pudding! I don't have any wine though, well OH bought a bottle of red from Lidl, but that was to marinate the steak in but he can't find the tin foil so I'll just add a splosh when it's cooking. I can't drink cheap wine, it tastes like turps in my mouth and I won't buy expensive wine because I probably won't like the taste.

I have a 12 pack of diet irn bru. YEYYYYYYYYYYYY

Also have a bottle of vodka if I need an alcoholic beverage.

awww, love to hear all the V Day stories! We were very un-MSE and went out for a meal (but kinda a post-baby celebration, so does that make it okay?). Finn was a very good boy, bless him. Can;t believe it's already 4 o'clock!

MDW, that lamb sounds delicious, especially the Moroccon stew, yumyum!

BM, :rotfl: @ Kester's placenta in the post

weezl - please don't feel guilty! I can tell your that sort of person that loves being lovely and nice to others but gets all bashful when people do the same to you? (I'm the same way!) Let your DH pamper you today, please :D

SS, maybe Molly's hit a growth spurt and needs more boobie juice? Nothing wrong with a little extra food! ;)

Is it Valentine's Day? Really? Are you sure? :rotfl:

I was up at 7am and have sorted Jack out, cleared the garage, got a load of stuff to put out in the charity bags, got stuff to go to the tip, been to ASDA to do a shop on my own, put fuel in OH's car, came home, cooked lunch and put the shopping away. Still got loads to do!

I smell of sick because Jack spewed on me - only a little bit but I can't be bothered to change :o

I went to ASDA like a right slob thinking I wouldn't see anyone and bumped into my friend. Very embarrassing - dirty joggers, trainers, bed hair and yesterday's make up :o:o:o:o:o
At least I had brushed my teeth!

Weezl - big hugs hun. Won't be long then you can put work behind you.
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

Weezl, please keep on venting and musing here, including about the work situation, if it helps you even slightly! I wish we could help more. If you want me to phone your work's HR/your line manager, just let me know ;)

We went out for a nice brunch, had an afternoon of lazing (bar a little light tidying as landlady visiting tomorrow), now I am cooking - a chocolate-coffee mousse/torte is in the fridge setting, I have marinaded my rib of beef, will roast it with taters, carrots, onions, yorkshire pudding and a red wine gravy :D

  • Afternoon all. Have been stuck under a poorly baby all day. Were about to go visit granny and grandad when she threw up over us both, so we have been cuddling pretty much ever since. She has had a long sleep and devoured a banana and a bicccie, so cross fingers she is on the mend.

Aless - its a recipe from Economy Gastronomy - I've used shoulder of lamb instead of leg though as it was a lot cheaper.

Katie and I have had a very lazy afternoon.

SS - Yay for winning the bid.

Lady - hugs for poorly babies

Glam - that is one busy day! I really must go through everything that came down from the loft before we put it back up.

Rhys and I have been practising sitting. He's getting there :) Now he's chilling on his playgym, watching Songs of Praise ;)

My valentines' gifts were two varieties of potted tulips (my favs!) for the patio as I've been muttering about the state of the garden lately. Will put the out there once this week's threatened snow is over with :) And a silver charm for my bracelet - a opening heart locket with a couple hugging inside :D

Just lasagne and garlic bread with raspberry cheesecake slices here for tea. I have made the effort and rearranged the dining room a bit though so we can actually eat at the table for a change! :o

OH is busy painting and I'm going to get on with my work timetable spreadsheet in a bit (Rhys will be asleep shortly ;)) and work out just how many weeks I have left (I think today is my last paid day!) and all the things I have to fit into them before starting back at work

ooo, SS, which sort did you get? Speaking of pushchairs, I keep forgetting to chair the insane iCandy double pram (Pear) DH and I saw in John Lewis a few weeks ago...wonder if I can dig up a picture b/c it looked weirder than the ones on the website - it was £750!!

ahhh, it was like this but in bright green:
