    aww weezl ((((hugs))))

would it help things to be not so frugal for a while???
i imagine that in itself can be quite hardgoing so maybe one less pressure??

i would definitely speak to CAB and why aren your union not help you as an individual?? isnt that why we pay to join that they will help you have an issue!! i would be ringing them again.

only problem with going 'sick' is that when it gets to so many weeks before your 'mat leave' starts work automatically put you on mat leave, which wouldnt solve the problem. (think its 9 weeks but i might be wrong, and different employers may have diff rules??)

    Hi, I'm sorry about earlier.

Thanks for all the hugs. I feel I've had more than my fair share recently :o.

In reality DH would not have to sacrifice the PhD, and I think I mislead you a bit talking from my heart rather than my head.

I think most people would think our finances are ok, it's just my panic area when things go wrong. So I'm sorry I worded it that way when there's heaps of people worse off by a mile :)

    Happy Valentine's day all

  • Afternoon,

Katie was fab this morning - we join the older group on Baptism Sundays so she spent the time helping to make a picture.

Lamb is in the oven should be interesting as I've marinated it overnight in a paste of chilli, garlic and oil.

SM - this lamb I'm doing is then going to be converted into a Morrocan Style Stew - half of which I'll freeze.

The leftovers from the chicken curry from the other night has gone in the freezer.

If a recipe says it feeds 4/6/8, I just don't bother reducing the quanitities and bung the leftovers in the freezer.

  • I recycle old ice cream tubs for all my freezer stuff then just use a permanent marker to note what is in it.

  • SM-I batch cook saag aloo and curry (in my case veggie, but you could do any) then when we fancy a curry just get one of each out the freezer and cook some rice!
