Lol! I used to work in a school and once read the list of words filtered out of the email system - I've never had such a laugh - there were words I never even knew existed!

I used to moderate for MSN chatrooms and we were always laughing about the different words that would get you booted from a chatroom... They were American too so some good old english words would get through...

Basically DH's newly divorced friend is phoning him every Friday to see if he wants to go out. DH goes out every so often on a Friday with a friend who he's been going with for ages and has known for years (F1). We've known the divorced friend since we moved here 7 years ago (F2). DH has more or less been working solidly all through Christmas and has been on call for the last 2 weeks. He has been called out EVERY night except 2, and when out on call doesn't get home until at least 11pm, sometimes even 1 or 2am. When F2 comes round to our house and asks id DH is going out, he'll try and make a joke of it and say to me 'Is he allowed H?' (He calls me H). It annoys me because I've never said he can't go out, I may not want him to every time, but I never say anything. Anyway, I sort of had a go last week when F2 asked me if DH was allowed. I said 'It's nothing to do with me whether he goes out, but I've been here on my own looking after the kids all week while he's been out on call, and the one night he's not on call he'll be out again. I haven't been out in 8 months!' I asked him why he always asks me if DH is allowed and he says it's because he used to get chuntered at by his ex-wife. You see neither F1 nor F2 are married. F1 has no children and lives on his own, F2 has a 13 year old who lives with his ex. I've no objections to DH going out, but F2 has phoned DH 3 times this afternoon already (he's left his phone at home on charge), and it's really starting to grate on me. F2 hardly ever went out with DH before, now he wants to go all the time.

Last week he asked DH if he was at work on Sunday (it was his only day off). When DH said no F2 said 'Oh are you making one out then?'

Sorry I hope I'm not coming across as unreasonable - I think I'm just a bit fed up with it, and it's spoiling every Friday and Saturday now because I know we're going to have to go through it again. DH doesnt go that often it's not that I'm bothered about, it's the constant badgering, and F1 and F2 thinking that because they have no-one at home waiting then I'm being a cow if I get annoyed at DH going out when we've hardly seen him all week.

Right I'll shut up.

Not had chance to catch up.

I won't be around tonight as DD and I are going to watch my niece in a dance show.

The new pushchair has arrived and Katie and I love it.

We bought this today and I think it's fab! Much lighter and easier to fold than our travel system and we got it for a bargainous £90.

Ladybird- glad the interview went well. Fingers tightly crossed for you and it sounds very hopeful.

PP- I would be annoyed in your situation too! I don't think you are being in the least bit unreasonable.

Aless- my doctor barely asked me anything either. He didn't know I'd had a c-section, didn't check my scar or anything!

Edit cause you already ranted - I think you're dead right to be annoyed, I'd be fuming if someone failed to understand that just because they've no family to spend their weekends with that people with families should drop everything to entertain them. And the "is he allowed out?" would peeve me no end. I'd be tempted to say, No, cause he's not done his homework, and it's time you went home.
