Krystal - the church I attended as a child was a modern one (60/70's) and I found it a bit souless IYKWIM! The people were ok it but the children weren't really involved in the services.
But when I visited the parish church and old church it just felt a bit friendlier.
I hope you understand what I mean, I can't find the words.Proud to be dealing with my debts

No, I know what you mean... Funnily enough, my childhood church was a big gothic building and boring as anything when we were children... My current modern one is fantastic, there's regular youth services and they do special activities for the children based around themes such as the wizard of oz or narnia... Krystal - maybe that's it Church was boring when we were children as they never did services/included children whereas now the children are involved.
At our church Children are allowed to take Communion, ours do a youth service if there is a 5th Sunday in the month which is followed by a cake and lemonade soda sale - Katie loves this one as she gets a flag to wave!Proud to be dealing with my debts

It could just be a generaltional shift couldn't it... I love when the children get involved in the service... Although half the time I'm biting back tears... I'm so emotional now lol!!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I didn't get chance to get emotional at Katie being a star in the Nativity this year, I was too busy trying to control the rest of them!Proud to be dealing with my debts
