My HV said to ring and ask for my 8 wk check so you must be right.
Just rang them (thanks for the reminder
) going next Tuesday and also to register her at docs (i thought this was done auto
) She'll be 8+1 then
I should get a letter about jabs shouldn't i, pretty sure i did for DS when he was likkle
we get sent a pre-printed letter/appointment card. i made K's before i got them though. Apart from the last lot but they've since sent me another card but he's had all his so just ignored it. you still have to make an appointment with my surgery even with the card/reminder.
our first one came with an appointment to see HV at clinic, check weight etc and then to the GP who checked his hearing, sight, hips etc'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

Jillie how many godparents are you having?
traditionally you have 2 of the same sex as baby/child and 1 other sex so in our case
2 males and 1 female.
hard part is they have to be confirmed as well. DH was christened but his brother and sister werrent and his cousins were not christened either.
so we're having one of my brothers (hard choice as to which one) my sister and then one of our male friends. need to decide between 2.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
I think you need to check, I have it in my head that you shouldn't use filtered water because it contains higher levels of sodium (aka salt)Thanks for this Elle, not being a regular formula/EBM user it is nice to have something to refer to.
I filter my tap water to put in my kettle do FF people think this is OK for making up formula? I live in a hard water area so if I don't filter it limescale builds up so quickly -yuck!
elle - sodium level is also why you shouldn't use reboiled water to make formula

Oh I didn't realise they have to be confirmed. I am going to have to check. I was thinking we'll have two women and one man, but may have to rethink who now tho.
Thanks Sami - I have only used water from the tap previously but would be so much easier to use what we use.Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

Ah well, Seth is definitely destined to not live to adulthood if thats what it is, he's been having re-boiled water to make his milk for months now, and sometimes the water is filtered too depending on where we are! We arent posh enough for a water filter, thats the IL's :rotfl:
Hair chopped, the lovely hairdresser man only needed to take 2 inches off, woo! I hate having long hair, but need it long for the wedding. Which reminds me, I really should look out the wedding womans number and go and pester her with regards to booking it up...
Glam, I hope posting was therapeutic for you and you feel better now its all off your chest xxMummy to

Hubby sat on sofa watching discovery channel. I know he can't do anything but I need to train my head not to be annoyed with him for not doing anything
Bought my MIL some flowers and some chocs (Thorntons are half price in Tesco ATM) to show that there are no hard feelings about the other day.
Krystal - pate? I can't think why not, although quite high in iron? I think we tend to think that all the things we couldn't have when pregnant are bad for babies too (well I do anyway!!)
Can I cook a steak in my slow cooker?please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman
