Thanks everyone sorry to pour out here but I have only spoken to 12 people IRL since Thursday - working from home has its disadvantages. (and over half of them were probably shop assistants!!) xx
SS - if I were you I would call your mum with the sole purpose of asking her if she deleted your hubby. If she did I would hang up on her and then ponder my next move. Our parents are our parents but they should still show us and our partners respect. xxLol. She hates the bottle
It is quite common!! Did she take any at all?MFD - sometimes writing it down makes u feel better. I had drains in after my boob ops, I had to carry 2 little bags of gunk around with me for a couple of days! GROSS!!! I think the drains in mine were around 8 inches both sides - if he's having them out that's a good thing
Right, I'm getting a bit annoyed and abit too opinionated in my old age so I'm off to get Jack's bottles ready and then go to bed
Thanks for the image of 8 inch tubes in your boobs
Whassup? Have you been elsewhere?? I never venture outside these daysplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
MFD I hope your hubby is on the mend soon. I've been in hospital myself with epidurals and drains and I just wanted to come home. The longer he stays to make sure he gets better the less chance there is of him having to go back
Oh, and yay for teeth SM!!Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -
Thanks Glam
and hello to you too xx maybe one day people will think of others feelings before they speak/type, I dont hold my breath though...
Huge hugs to Tara, DD and DGD. Was speaking to MIL about it today, as when OH was born the lady next to her in the maternity ward had a baby with the same thing, and that baby last week became a very healthy 26 year old
Hugs to MFD too, I hope hubby is back with you soon xxMummy to

Weezl - u r an absolute angel :A
If there is anything YOU ever need don't hesitate to ask, my fairies will be there like a shot
If she'll let you! Our Weezl is very particular about giving out her address to receive things from the fairies....aren't you Weezl?!?!?!ladybirdintheuk wrote: »Choppy I think they say to use full fat milk, as babies need lots of fat in their diets compared to what we need. So as long as you put a nice big dollop of butter in her mash or whatever then I'm sure semi-skimmed is fine
Thanks ladybird, I'll just do that then.
Jillie - gorgeous pictures of Kian in the swing.
Harley - that cake sounds lovely! I've saved the recipe in my favourites so I can try it at some time. Does it have to be drinking chocolate or will cocoa powder be OK?
Grr @ Weezle ;-). I just started reading your OS thread and got carried away. I'll catch up on here and then carry on reading that!
MM - I hope tomorrow goes OK for you. I'll be thinking of you. ((hugs))
Tara - the way DD and DGD are being treated is shocking. I can't believe how awful the hospital are being. Sending lots of "get well and strong" vibes to Bristol.
Three - what a cute pic of Aiden.
DKAM - glad you're getting on OK
SS - hope you all get better soon. I'd delete your mum if I were you and see if she mentions it
SM - yay to a first tooth!
Sami - ((hugs)) for you for hubby going away.
Becles - you sound exhausted. I'm glad you're going to the Drs on Tuesday. I hope s/he'll listen to you and give you you some advice/run some tests to check everything is tickety-book. Yay for Jack's teeth
GISI - Glad your Eve's pudding was yummy. I used to make it quite often but haven't made it for ages. I sometimes add some raisins into the sponge mix and also sprinkle some cinnamon over the apple.
MFD - aww poor hubby and poor you. It sounds like he's making progress in the right direction, which is great. I bet it's just not fast enough for any of you. Bless Benjamin looking at his pic on your phone.0 -
Big hugs for you and hubby MFD. It does sound pretty miserable for him, but hopefully he will be home in a few days and I'm sure seeing Benjamin and you will cheer him up immeasurably!
More get stronger vibes for Tara, DD and DGD x x x:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Evening all,
MM - good luck for your first day back tomorrow. You are very organised to have time to pamper yourself! I would be running around like a headless chicken. Love the pic of Dylan in your avvie btw. Hadn't got round to mentioning it yet.
Glam - are you still fighting for FF on that other thread? Haven't been back to check yet! Night anyway. Hope Jack sleeps well in his own room tonight.
Hope Tara's DD and DGD are doing well and continue to progress. Glad she is getting a bit of support now.
And Weezl, it was lovely of you to offer to help them out.
I have the cold. DH had the lads staying all weekend and I have looked after them well, but one of them had the cold and I think I have caught it. I am in bed with a Lemsip and a sore throat.
Holly has been an absolute gem all weekend and I think they heard her cry for about 10 seconds. She is just happy and smiley if a little bit unsettled today with teething. She is in bed at the moment so wondering if this is her for the night as she usually goes down around 10.30, but has managed not to nap this evening. We'll see!0 -

I hope i haven't left it too long to introduce a bottle? I keep reading stuff where it says to do it in the first few weeks, and she's now 7 weeks. Which are the teats that mimic the breast flow?
Sorry i haven't acknowledged anyone tonight, feeling knackered and not absorbing much at all0 -

A thread that started off as a rant about the cost of forumla being hiked up has turned into the usual BF V FF debate. I just posted this with you & Sami in mindI think it's because some (not all) BF mothers look down their noses at FF mothers and believe they are superior for BF. This is certainly how the BF mothers at my local baby group come across and I live in a really good area.
I have however met BF mothers who are lovely and respect people's decisions to FF rather than try to ram it down their throats that They are still BF at 6 months.
Fitzio - I'm bowing out now. I just get hacked off when BF is rammed down your neck and that any decision to give up is deemed unacceptable!
Boo for catching a cold after you were so good to look after them!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -

Only opinionated if you're wrong or unreasonable surely? I've been reading the other thread, and whilst I'm a BFer who has had issues and persevered through them, I agree more with your posts than the two BFers posting on there. That might make me odd though!
