Beenie, which one are you using? Finn hated TT CTN 1 teats as it took him like an hour to get out 2 oz! I use Breastflow primarily but also CTN 2 teats (which he likes a bit better).

I hope i haven't left it too long to introduce a bottle? I keep reading stuff where it says to do it in the first few weeks, and she's now 7 weeks. Which are the teats that mimic the breast flow?

Sorry i haven't acknowledged anyone tonight, feeling knackered and not absorbing much at all :o

Hi Chick, sounds like Amber's having the 6wk ish growth spurt and draining all your energy!
Hopefully it'll last less than a week then she'll settle down a bit.
I think the TT Closer to Nature bottles are supposed to be like the breast?
Hang in there, your doing great!

Only opinionated if you're wrong or unreasonable surely ;)? I've been reading the other thread, and whilst I'm a BFer who has had issues and persevered through them, I agree more with your posts than the two BFers posting on there. That might make me odd though!

I've only just started reading that thread and not got through it yet, but make that two of us!

Although i did just try and force feed Amber some formula for no apparent reason so not sure who i'm meant to be representing at the mo :rotfl:

I've not bought any bottles specially, but realised that amongst the stuff my sister sold (rolleyes-2.gif) me there was some Mothercare bottles with newborn Nuby teats? I've got some Avent teats that came with the pump but not tried them.

Who are the Breastflow ones made by? Are they findable in say, Asda? :D

Aww thanks :o Yeah it's weird, the lovely HV said on Friday - very matter of factly "you'll find that she'll be feeding more within the next few days for her growth spurt"

Seriously, how did she know that? lol.

I can't grumble too much as she does sleep ok in the night, she had a few 12am - 7am stints, last night was 1:30am-7am ish. But then she'll go back to sleep in bed with me for a bit longer. It's just the whole afternoon/evening she's constant

Having a long memory, this thread might make you smile

Even the most ardent BFers apparently consider a nighttime formula feed for the sake of some peace and quiet when it all seems to be getting too much.
  • Evening all. Hugs and snugs for all in need.

Tara, lots of love to you, DD and DGD

Sami, hope you are ok tomorrow when DH goes :).
I have put the lowry date in my diary! Bit scary as I have never been there on my own so don't know the way! ;)

MFD, looks as though DH is making good progress. Lots of hugs to all 3 of you.

MM, hope all goes well tomorrow, chick.

SM, hooray for teeth! And to Becles' pup too!

Weezl, you are indeed a lovely lady and you never cease to amaze me with your kindness.

SS, missed you! I visited Lyon in my yoof whilst backpacking but can't really remember it :o. Hope DH is ok.

    3, Happy Birthday Violet! :D

    xx

Lol you do have a good memory!! :rotfl:

I've obviously been thinking about it for a few days because i've been trying to use up my healthy start vouchers before they expire, and didn't want to buy too much veg in one go (it goes off before i get chance to use it), so i bought a couple of cartons to round up to the voucher amount.

So much for the govt promoting bf'ing, i bought unneeded formula instead of veg :rotfl::rotfl:
