  • Hmm, I was thinking that at first but then I think back to a time when I thought I was pregnant and wasn't and that horribble feeling I had for a short time when I found out I wasn't, I was really gutted, even though I have 2 boys and one was only a few months old at the time.
We cant help the way we feel and I cant really say she's wrong for feeling like that.
Sometimes our desire for something is so strong that we will never be entirely happy until we get it.

I'm watching this too and I can't believe the woman who wouldn't marry her husband until "he gave her a girl"
  • I remember being  after finding out Jamie was a blue bump and looking back I can't believe I ever thought like that :o.

I just assumed I would have another girl and Poppy would have a sister. I had lots of scans and asked if he was still a boy every time.

But now looking at my beautiful baby son, he is the most wonderful gift to our family and I love him all the world! :smileyhea (and of course Poppy too! :D).

    xx
  • Sorry - but as someone who has fertility issue I wanted to punch the woman who said that her desire for a girl was almost as bad! At least she can have kids - oops my issues coming out again! Just a v v v senstive subject for me.

I'm also of the opinion of how is the little boy of the one who found out going to feel when he's older when he finds out he was the wrong gender and it made his mum depressed.

I never had strong feelings for a particular gender, it would be nice to have one of each but it it doesn't happen I'll be happy with what I've been given.

Yes I will also be watching One Born Every Minute and Supernanny.

What's "One Born Every Minute" about? Is it "one baby" or "one baby with something particular about it" (like one premmie, one boy, one girl... I dunno)?*confused*
  • It's a documentary about babies being born in one particular unit.

Like tia said, LO just needs a rest and that's what the ventilator is there for :) Rhys was on a vent, then came off it on Day 4 (well he pulled the tube out and they went with it!), then back on it on Day 6 (til Day 11). We just had to look at him going back on it as him needing a little reboost ;)

    How many weeks was DD?

Sofa coming tomorrow, they said 4wks delivery time it will only be 3wks Sunday that we ordered it, yay:) Hopefully yours will come quicker too Sami.
I hope not! :p The guy in the shop said they'd been getting them quite quickly but OH is off to Abu Dhabi for 3-4weeks on monday and I can't cope with sorting it myself :o
No because I'm not sure how to find the hole :o
I can't think of any other way to check and it's too big to get in a bucket of water like I would a bike tyre :rotfl:
you could also try it using the bath a a giant bucket :)

I watched the CH4 program, I think DKAM put it best my biggest isse was as Pink said, "discard the others" made me want to cry :( IMO thats the same as abortion which I don't agree with. I'm not as staunchly against it like pro-lifers, I don't think it should be banned but do think the availability of them is far too easy :(
    sorry off on a tangent!!
I did want to slap the rich woman though saying she wouldn't marry her OH unless he "gave her a girl" There was me thinking you should marry someone because you love them!!
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

MDW i agree with you doesnt matter the sex as long as they're healthy i was going more towards a girl at first but knew in my heart jayden was a boy before any scan told me .. but realised how silly it was to go towards one sex after trying for 2 year and then having an ectopic i was just happy jayden was here x
    :)Still searching .....:)
