Whats up with Mr MFD oh wait was he going into hospital, was it serious?? Or am I imagining that info?? My minds a mess at the mo.

DH is ok, he is not really a weepy person but I can tell he's upset.

Elle I was thinking about you today, I take it you don't have shingles??

Hmm, I was thinking that at first but then I think back to a time when I thought I was pregnant and wasn't and that horribble feeling I had for a short time when I found out I wasn't, I was really gutted, even though I have 2 boys and one was only a few months old at the time.
We cant help the way we feel and I cant really say she's wrong for feeling like that.
Sometimes our desire for something is so strong that we will never be entirely happy until we get it.

Aww MM thanks for remembering x Yes it was my knee, it's all black and blue with a very nasty graze on it It makes me feel sick looking at it, you know that thing where you catch skin and it's still attached to you, but all shredded like? Does that even make sense?

Not sure how you're bum is now? If it is still dodgy like mine and you have crap chairs at work (when you go back) get a cushion. Between my knee and back I've felt like a little old lady today!!

Gosh, I'm watching the C4 programme too, it broke my heart when the doctor said 'discard the others?' and she said 'yes'. I know they're not people yet but.........I don't know, I can't explain.

Haven't caught up properly but Yay! for Mrs Moc, speedy get well vibes to tara's DD and DGD

It was very stressful being on the other side. I now give my whole hearted sympathy to OH's as I felt completely useless! She is being checked as she has a small rash and as DD is R-neg they have to watch it. And they need to operate soon as they can't feed her until they do, so I pray she is strong enough! X

Are both of them getting transferred tomorrow ??

Mr MFD was having a hernia op, a bit more complicated than a standard hernia op though so he'll be in for 4-7 days and the hospital has an outbreak of norovirus (I think) so visitors are heavily restricted and MFD and benjamin can't go in to visit.

Nope to shingle. Spoke to the doctor earlier this week. Oddly he thinks it could have been a pre-warning to shingles but "because I'm so strong" (ha ha, nothing about me has been described as strong before - I'm a wimp!) I somehow fought it off so it didn't come to anything. He said you can often get what I had as a pre-warning several times before you actually get shingles years and years down the line. Muchos joy! Still, gone now

my bum still hurts every now and then, but is getting much better and I have a really comfy chair at work cuz when I hurt my back a few years ago, (and I just happen to be the H & S rep in work ) I got a funky back support one !!

I agree with you.. I just don't think I've felt that before (too laid back? *confused*) and certainly have no feelings on whether I'd "prefer" a boy or a girl...

ETA: But then again, I get annoyed with people answering the "do you want a boy or a girl?" question with "don't mind, as long as it's healthy".. Would love to know what all these people intend to do with the unwanted unhealthy babies? :cool:

MFD - glad you have heard from MrMFD and that he is recovering. i did have a chuckle at the male nurse.

i couldn't watch the channel 4 prog re wanting a girl but i am looking forward to seeing supernanny next week. i've just put brothers and sisters on.

MM, a few weeks before I left work (abruptly!) the big boss gave me his fancy chair with a blow up back support because he got a swish leather one and I was pregnant so he assumed I had a bad back. Apparently said chair is being "looked after" by one of the IT guys and I can have it back when I go back :rotfl: Stuff that like usually gets swept away never to be seen again if you don't use it for two days!
