GISI - I know someone who goes to Waterbabies and they love it. Their baby is 7 months old so not sure if it makes a difference what age they are. My friend whose baby is 10 days older than Holly is going to start one too in February, but at £12 for half an hour, I don't think I can justify the cost. They tend to be in hotel/gym pools which are warmer than normal council pools. I don't think we have any lessons for young babies round here other than Water Babies, but haven't actually phoned places myself. I think if you are happy to pay the £12, then it sounds as if you will enjoy it. It's just whether you can justify the cost/how skint you are - everyone is different. I can afford it, but I think I could probably spend the money elsewhere. Also, I would probably take Holly to the council pool to see how she likes it before committing money to a class.
WM - Check Netmums too for a Jumperoo. We bought Holly one just after Christmas as I had been holding off to see if Amazon had them on offer again but ended up getting one from Argos as we had some vouchers. A week later, there were 2 on Netmums local to me! Holly is still a bit small to get full enjoyment out of it as she can't reach the ground yet. She is jiggling it a bit though and using the edge of the seat as a teething rail! In fact, the first time she was in it, the material was soaking wet, so quite glad we bought a new one.
Tara - congrats to you and your DD. Hope everything goes ok for her and baby.0 -
