  • Thanks MDW! We can't really afford it while I'm on ML, but I might crack on with some ebaying to see how much I can raise! I'm also meeting my boss in a couple of weeks to arrange some KIT days so might use some of the extra I'll earn there.

:rotfl: Alice knowms she was "born from Mummy's tummy" but she gets mixed up with who other people have been "born from" so apparently I was "born from Alice's tummy".

small bit of selfish questioning: no birth pools on netmums local as elle suggested :( thanks tho elle :) and it looks like SJ and I are too close together in dates... Can anyone think of a good way to get one here? There's 4.5 weeks til the earliest I could have it here, and some ebay sellers can take that long, so I'm a bit concerned about going down that route.
If you messaged eBay sellers, you might be able to find one who could commit to getting one to you in time? (Although don't send too many messages in a day or eBay will lock your account for "suspicious activity".)

    exciting! (and kinda smelly :))

Would anyone be willing to do any recipe testing for me?
Was anyone else amused by the startight switch from toilets to food? :o

Rose was crying this afternoon. She doesnt normally and is so bunged up. I did have a lovely bath with her at tea time. All except she was trying to latch on to my boob!! She's not been BF since 12 weeks
I used to have to watch Alice for that - I once got stuck in the shower because she slipped and started crying and when I picked her up she latched on and because of the way I was holidng her I couldn't do anything to stop her once she'd started.
Katie has been very spoilt today - Grandma and Grandad took her out to lunch, they ordered choclate cake as a dessert thinking Katie would just have a bit, she polished off a whole portion to herself!!! This was after fish, chips and mushy peas too!
Beccles' Charlotte did the same thing last week (and then got very hyper).

Isla's been weighed this morning and is now 11lb exactly at 11 weeks, still following the 25th centile. HV was asking about her constant feeding and kept skirting around how tired I look . I've got an 11 week old, of course Im tired!

David was weighed this week too - on his 11th week birthday he was 11lb 11ozs!
    Grrr at your HV :(
With all this talk of swimming, I'm thinking of booking Henry in for Water Babies lessons but they are  expensive. Has anyone done them with their LO and are they worth it?

I am thinking of water babies too. I *think* at the moment that it is a great life skill and so worth the expense....

I would Weezl. We are not veggies and have a slow cooker and a blender. I love cooking!
ETA If you let me know the wording, I will put an ad on my local site and would be able to deliver it to you too !

Big hugs and lots of prayer for Tara, DD and DGD

    Hope MrMFD is recovering well

Susan - we've been trying for the last hour to get her to bed!

GISI - I sacrifice all kinds of stuff to afford swimming, oh and I've done one photo session when she first started learning got some lovely pics but can't justify the cost of another one.

Searchie - in RL I have no female friends apart from those that I'm related too! I developed issues with my only friends when she had 3 kids in 3 years smack bang in the middle of my problems (I was extremely jealous and haven't really got over it)

I was good and ended up buying an Asda curry for tea so saved more than i would have on a takeaway! another positive is that someone is interested in buying all the car bits i have for sale and is coming out tom!! so fingers crossed i can get it all away and have both space in the garage and a bit extra towards the OD!

  • Mrs Moc - go for it sounds like you deserve it.

Caz - yeah for selling the bits and getting some more space.

i can understand that they're real problems of why a friendship brokedown but i always have the same 2 problems with female friends .. either they like my bluntness til its about them or they've been taking the mick and its always there way and when i finally get fed up and say something im the biggest cow in the world .. some ive even had a mixture of the two but at 24 you'd think it would settle down as the people around you become adult and the small that are that ... small and dont matter or maybe i have it wrong *shrug* x

  • SM - I never voiced my feelings I just distanced myself as I found it hard being around babies and children anyway. I probably was immature about it at the time but I was in the darkest time of my fertility treatment, I'd just found out I'd need IVF and the length of the waiting list in my area when her DD was born and then when the twins were born I was still waiting.
