    afternoon all

    well done Andrew :j

MFD - thinking of you and MrMFD. will you get called when he is out of surgery? i know that did that with my hubby.

bruno - pleased to hear about E doing well with his night time sleeping. i am thinking along the same lines as MFD that if my LO has a good night, i dont say as i am scared it will put a jinx on the following evening. anything over 4hours straight to me is good.

tara - i know you are off to your DD's side, but thinking of you and will keep looking for updates.

DNAM - glad you are somewhere you are happy with at the minute. great to hear from you.

i know there are other things that i wanted to reply to but have forgotten. sorry, i dont mean to leave anyone else out.

feeling a bit pants today, but moving on.

going to read up some more

Edit - I have to call the hospital in about an hour. Still not sure about visitors.
    I have been pondering:

Glam - you mentioned this morning that you are gonna stop cooking for J because you are not convinced of your cooking ability? What's up hun? He wolfed down his carrot and pear on Tuesday and then told us all about how yummy it was!! I hope it wasn't anything your OH said to upset you (after his enchilada strop). Is there anything we can do to help / bolster your confidence?

Meet-ups - I may feel like this because I have a 'free-range' baby like V but I was thinking that it might be nicer for the babies (especially as they get a bit older) to meet somewhere that gives a bit more room to play. I am not sure if such a place exists but if it was more like a playgroup where babies could play and mummies could move about and chat to everyone (not sat on a long table) then it might be a nicer environment (and Benjamin would be much less whingey :o he hates being cooped up for long!)
I had a lovely time on Tuesday but it would have been nice to chat more to the ladies on the other end of the table and to see the babies having a kick about on the floor! Having said that, I probably won't be able to make another one!

i was trying to think of somewhere that we could all go... somewhere not too expensive. as wheni said it to DH he said somewhere like 'wacky warehouse' but i think they are more for children Chris's age not i yr old and under.

might have a nosey and see whats around manc area. although if there was something in warrington i can get the train or bus there.

good news Tigs especially on his movements and holding things.

did she say anything about your weaning him?
LOL. The HV had snitched on me (she warned me that she had). The only comment was "Well, take things slowly, remember he's still very young." I replied that we were going very slowly, it's been almost four weeks and he's still only one meal a day, we hadn't even progressed to breakfast yet. That's when she digressed onto the subject of fortifier, she hadn't realised that we had stopped using it - where are we meant to get it? It's not even available on prescription, so supply stopped when the midwives stopped visiting. So I now have 300 sachets (enough for about 4 weeks) with instructions to phone NICU and get more when I run out.

    Well done Andrew!
Thanks DKAM. Just to let you know, I am reading all of your updates, and you and the boys are in my thoughts - I just often don't have anything useful to give you in terms of advice!

We'd probably be more interested in coming to this type of venue, so that I can get Andrew out of the buggy and lay him down to play. But as for ideas ... I don't know if it's possible to hire a SureStart Centre or similar, and whether we (as a group) can afford that anyway.
